The Standards Act 1965—Draft New Zealand Standard Specifications Available for Comment
PURSUANT to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the following draft New Zealand standard specifications are being circulated.

DZ 4613 Domestic solar water heaters.
Part 1: General requirements. $15.00
This draft Standard provides a specification for solar collectors and ancillary equipment used in domestic type hot water supply systems.
It is a proposed replacement for MP 4613: Part 1:1979 providing a basis for the selection of materials for, and the design and operation of, such equipment to give satisfactory service under general New Zealand conditions.
The specification applies to auxiliary systems as well as systems in which water is heated by solar radiation only.
DZ 4614 Installation of domestic solar water heating systems.
Part 1: Scope and general. $15.00
This draft Standard sets out the requirements for the installation of solar hot water supply systems incorporating auxiliary heating and intended to deliver water of potable quality. Systems covered are of fixed orientation and inclination having a collector area of not more than 6 square metres and a storage capacity of not more than 450 L. They may be systems either with collector located remotely from container or with collector and container close-coupled or integral.
The Standard will supersede MP 4613: Part 2:1979.
