The Standards Act 1965—Standard Specifications Proposed for Revocation

Notice is hereby given that the under-mentioned New Zealand standard specifications have been recommended for revocation pursuant to the provisions of the Standards Act 1965.

Any person who may be affected by the proposal to revoke these standard specifications, and who wishes to object to their revocation, is invited to submit comments to the Standards Association of New Zealand, Private Bag, Wellington, not later than 1 February 1985.

The Standards Act 1965—Draft New Zealand Standard Specification Available for Comment

PURSUANT to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the following draft New Zealand standard specification is being circulated.

Number and Title of Specification
DZ 3106 Draft code of practice for concrete structures for the storage of liquids. $2.00

This draft sets out requirements for concrete, including cement mortar, structures for the storage of liquids and is approved as a means of compliance with the relevant requirements of NZS 1900. It is a revision of the Provisional Standard, NZS 3106:Part 1:1978.

Sections 1, 2, 3, and 9 apply to all concrete structures for the storage of liquids. The remaining sections apply specifically to structures constructed in either reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete or cement mortar.

PURSUANT to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the following draft New Zealand standard specification is being circulated.

Number and Title of Specification
DZ 5809/A1 Draft Amendment No. 1 to NZS 5809:1980 Specification for safety footwear with protective toe-caps. $2.00

This draft will amend the toe-cap clearance specified for impact resistance, to allow graded clearances for different insole lengths.

It is part of amendment action to harmonise the New Zealand and Australian Standards for safety footwear.
