Declaration that Land Shall be a Walkway

Pursuant to the New Zealand Walkways Act 1975, the Minister of Lands hereby declares that a walkway has been established over the land, described in the Schedule hereto, and further declares that the walkway be known as part of the Hawke Bay Coastal Walkway.

Those portions of walkway, situated in Blocks IX, XI and XII, Moeanangi Survey District, commencing at Arapaoanui Road and proceeding along unformed legal road and crossing Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948 to Section 28, Block IX, Moeanangi Survey District, as shown on S.O. Plan 8671. W20/1.2, 2.1, 2.2, 3.1.

State Forest Land Set Apart as a Dedicated Area—Craig Rankin Ecological Area—Southland Conservancy

Pursuant to section 15 of the Forests Act 1949 (as inserted by section 2 of the Forests Amendment Act 1973, and amended by section 5 of the Forests Amendment Act 1976), the Minister of Forests hereby gives notice that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart and dedicated for the purposes of protection, maintenance and management of trees and other plants, and for the protection of the natural environment and native wildlife, and for scientific purposes, especially ecological purposes. The area so dedicated will be known as Craig Rankin Ecological Area.

52.9800 hectares, more or less, being Lot 1, D.P. 17897, Block II, Catlins Survey District. All New Zealand Gazette, 1982, page 3769.

St Mary’s College, Thorndon and St Catherine’s College Kilbirnie (Attendance Dues) Notice 1984

Pursuant to section 36 of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, the Minister of Education hereby gives notice approving the charging of attendance dues at the following secondary schools:

St Mary’s College, Thorndon

St Catherine’s College, Kilbirnie

NOTICE

  1. This notice shall be cited as the St Mary’s College, Thorndon and St Catherine’s College, Kilbirnie (Attendance Dues) Notice 1984, and shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette.

  2. The proprietor of the above-named schools may enter into an agreement with the parents or other persons accepting responsibility for the education of a child at the above-named schools requiring them to pay attendance dues.

  3. The attendance dues payable in respect of any pupil shall be $240 per annum.

  4. St Mary’s College, Thorndon and St Catherine’s College, Kilbirnie shall form part of the group of schools cited in the Roman Catholic Secondary Schools Archdiocese of Wellington and Diocese of Palmerston North (Attendance Dues) Notice 1983 which was published in the New Zealand Gazette on 21 April 1983.

  5. Attendance dues received by the proprietor shall be used for the purpose of paying for such improvements to, or for such capital works associated with, the buildings and associated facilities of St Mary’s College, Thorndon and St Catherine’s College, Kilbirnie and the other schools which form part of the group of schools cited in the Roman Catholic Secondary Schools Archdiocese of Wellington and Diocese of Palmerston North (Attendance Dues) Notice 1983 as may be required or approved by the Minister of Education pursuant to section 40 (2) of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, or for meeting debts, mortgages, liens, or other charges associated with any of the land and buildings that constitute the integrated schools.

  6. The attendance dues of the schools mentioned in the notice of 21 April 1983 shall remain the same as stated therein.
