Consent to Raising of Loans by Certain Local Authorities
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the undersigned Deputy Secretary to the Treasury, acting under powers delegated to the Secretary to the Treasury by the Minister of Finance, hereby consents to the borrowing by the local authorities, mentioned in the Schedule hereto, of the whole or any part of the respective amounts specified in the Schedule.

Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975
PURSUANT to section 10 of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, notice is given that a supplementary integration agreement has been signed between the Minister of Education and the proprietor of the following school:
St Columba’s School, Waipawa.
The said supplementary integration agreement will come into effect on 23 December 1983. Copies of the supplementary integration agreement are available for inspection without charge by any member of the public at the Department of Education, Head Office, National Mutual Building, Featherston Street, Wellington and at regional offices.

The Standards Act 1965—Draft New Zealand Standard Specification Available for Comment
PURSUANT to sub-section (3) of section 23 of the Standards Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the following draft New Zealand standard specification is being circulated.

DZ 1900/9 Model building bylaw—
Chapter 9: Design and construction. Gratis
This proposed revision of NZS 1900:Chapter 9 is intended to supersede the following current 4 divisions of the Chapter:
9.1 Design and construction—Timber
9.2 Design and construction—Masonry
9.3 Design and construction—Concrete
9.4 Design and construction—Steel
Divisions 9.1, 9.3 and 9.4 are already in short formats which set out general requirements and cite specific Standards as being approved as means of compliance. With the anticipated publication of a Provisional Standard for the design of masonry structures (NZS 4230P) within the next few months, Division 9.2 can be re-written in similar format. The opportunity is being taken to combine the 4 divisions into a single Chapter 9 within one cover.
All persons who may be affected by this publication and who desire to comment thereon, may obtain copies at the price shown, from the Standards Association of New Zealand, Wellington Trade Centre, 15-23 Sturdee Street (or Private Bag), Wellington.
The closing date for receipt of comment is 30 March 1984.

Insurance Companies’ Deposits Act 1953 St James’s Tobacco Co. of New Zealand Limited
Proposed Release of Deposit
THE St James’s Tobacco Company of New Zealand Limited (herein called “the Company”) has given notice to the public trustee that it has ceased to carry on business in New Zealand and that pursuant to section 19 of the Insurance Companies’ Deposits Act 1953 (herein called “the Act”) the company proposes to withdraw the deposit which has been made by it with the Public Trustee.
The Public Trustee therefore gives notice pursuant to Section 19 (3) of the Act that being satisfied that all liabilities of the company in New Zealand in respect of such insurance business have been fully liquidated he proposes to release to the company on or after 29 February 1984 the deposit made by the company.
Any objection to the release of the deposit should be lodged with the Public Trustee, 117-129 Lambton Quay, Wellington, on or before 22 February 1984.
