Amending the Water Recreation (Patea River and Mangaehu Stream) Notice 1980
I, Beryl Ann Ranger, Senior Executive Officer (Harbours and Foreshores), pursuant to the Water Recreation Regulations 1979* and in exercise of powers delegated to me pursuant to sections 8 and 9 of the Ministry of Transport Act 1968, hereby amend the Water Recreation (Patea River and Mangaehu Stream) Notice 1980† by excluding from the First Schedule to that notice that area described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
ALL that area of the Patea River between the co-ordinates
174°34′18″E 39°32′35″S, and
174°28′40″E 39°24′54″S
as more particularly coloured red on plan numbered MD 16243 and deposited in the office of the Ministry of Transport at Wellington.

The Water Recreation (Patea River) Notice 1984
I, Beryl Ann Ranger, Senior Executive Officer (Harbours and Foreshores), pursuant to the Water Recreation Regulations 1979* and in exercise of powers delegated to me pursuant to sections 8 and 9 of the Ministry of Transport Act 1968, hereby give the following notice.
NOTICE
-
(a) This notice may be cited as the Water Recreation (Patea River) Notice 1984.
(b) This notice shall come into force 14 days after its publication in the Gazette and shall remain in force until revoked by further notice in the Gazette. -
Subject to the conditions set forth in the Second Schedule hereto, regulations 7 (1) (a) and (b), and 7 (2) of the Water Recreation Regulations 1979, shall not apply to small motor craft operated by or on behalf of the Egmont Electric Power Board in the area specified in the First Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE
ALL that area of the Patea River between the co-ordinates
174°34′18″E 39°32′35″S, and
174°28′40″E 39°24′54″S
as more particularly shown in red on plan numbered MD 16243 and deposited in the office of the Ministry of Transport at Wellington.
SECOND SCHEDULE
-
Notwithstanding any other provision of this notice, no person who is permitted by any such provision to propel or navigate a small craft at a speed through the water exceeding 5 knots, shall do so in any manner that is likely to endanger or unduly annoy any person who is in, on, or using the water, or fishing, or undertaking any recreational activity in the vicinity of the small craft.

All persons in charge of a vessel shall adhere to, and keep the provisions of all Acts and regulations not specifically exempted by this notice.

A suitable notice as may be approved by the Regional Marine Officer, Ministry of Transport, Wellington, shall be erected at such places as are deemed necessary by the Regional Marine Officer.

Cancellation of Registration of Industrial Union
PURSUANT to section 195 of the Industrial Relations Act 1973, it is hereby notified that the registration of the New Zealand Federated Theatrical and Places of Amusements Employees Industrial Association of Workers, Registered No. 869, situated at 10 Fisher Avenue, Christchurch, is hereby cancelled as from the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette.
