PURSUANT to the National Roads Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council hereby appoints

  • Sir Charles Erskine Bowmar, farmer of Gore.
  • Thomas Frederick Llewellyn Ward, farmer of Tangiteroria.
  • William Wallace Knox, transport operator of Balclutha.
  • Arthur Frederick Thomas, retired of Takapuna.
  • Francis Graham Milne Parkinson, company secretary of Palmerston North.
  • Geoffrey John Geering, lily grower of Ashburton.

to be members of the National Roads Board for a period of 3 years from 17 April 1984.

THE RIGHT HON. SIR ROBERT MULDOON PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 4 of the Disabled Persons Employment Promotion Act 1960, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the recommendation of the Minister of Labour made after consultation with the unions, associations, and organisations referred to in section 5 of that Act, and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. Title—This order may be cited as the New Zealand Society for the Intellectually Handicapped (Incorporated), Tauranga and Districts Branch Order 1984.

  2. Exemption—The New Zealand Society for the Intellectually Handicapped (Incorporated), Tauranga and Districts Branch an organisation approved* by the Minister of Labour under section 3 of the Disabled Persons Employment Promotion Act 1960, is hereby granted exemption in respect of its sheltered workshop at Newton Street, Mount Maunganui from—

(a) All the provisions of every award and agreement that would otherwise apply to persons employed in that workshop; and

(b) The Minimum Wage Act 1945, the Holidays Act 1981, and sections 10 (2) (b) and 15 of the Factories and Commercial premises Act 1981.

PURSUANT to the Agricultural Pests Destruction Act 1967, as amended by the Agricultural Pests Destruction Amendment Act 1974, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order:

ORDER

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the Pests of Local Importance 1984, No. 1.
    (2) This order shall come into force on the day after its notification in the Gazette.

  2. The Wallaby is hereby declared a pest of local importance in the Central Bay of Plenty Pest Destruction District.

  1. Title and commencement—(1) This order may be cited as the Kirikiriroa Drainage District Abolition Order 1984.
    (2) This order shall come into force on the 1st day of April 1984.

  2. Abolition of Kirikiriroa Drainage District—The Kirikiriroa Drainage District is hereby abolished.

  1. Title and commencement—(1) This order may be cited as the Mangapu Drainage District Abolition Order 1984.
    (2) This order shall come into force on the 1st day of April 1984.

  2. Abolition of Mangapu Drainage District—The Mangapu Drainage District is hereby abolished.

  3. Dissolution of Mangapu Drainage Board—The Mangapu Drainage Board is hereby dissolved.
