Grey, shoveler (or spoonbill) and mallard duck	5 May to 29 July 1984 incl.
Paradise duck (Rangitikei area: North of Tangimoana Road to State Highway No 1, then north of Wilson Road and Mingoroa Road to Halcombe and there north of the railway line east to the Manawatu Gorge).	5 May to 1 July 1984 incl.
Paradise duck (Wairarapa area: Featherston County, Wairarapa South County and Masterton County.)	5 May to 4 June 1984 incl.
(A close season shall apply for paradise duck in the unspecified areas of the district)
Pukeko	5 May to 29 July 1984 incl.
Black swan (only in the county of Featherston)	2 June to 24 June 1984 incl.
California and brown quail and cock pheasant	5 May to 29 July 1984 incl.

Special Conditions

It shall be an offence to hunt or kill game from any unmoored boat within the Wellington Acclimatisation District during the first two days of the open season for game only, being Saturday 5 May 1984 and Sunday 6 May 1984.
