National Roads Act 1953—Constitution of Roads Council Districts
Pursuant to section 7 of the National Roads Act 1953:
-
As at the 31st day of March 1984, No. 2B, 3A, 3B, and 6 roads council districts, as described in the First Schedule below, shall cease to be roads council districts; and
-
As from the 1st day of April 1984 the areas described in the Second Schedule below are constituted roads council districts and shall be known as No. 2B, 3, and 6 respectively, as set out in the said Schedule.
FIRST SCHEDULE
No. 2B roads council district, as constituted by the National Roads Board on the 1st day of April 1957, as notified in the Gazette, No. 25, of 28 March 1957, at p. 556.
No. 3A, 3B, and 6 roads council districts, as constituted by the National Roads Board on the 1st day of April 1969, as notified in the Gazette, No. 84, of 19 December 1968, at p. 2427.
SECOND SCHEDULE
No. 2B roads council district—
All that area comprised within the counties of Matamata, Raglan, Waikato, and Waipa, the districts of Otorohanga and Waitomo, and the boroughs of Cambridge, Hamilton, Huntly, Matamata, Ngaruawahia, Putaruru, Te Awamutu, and Tokoroa.
No. 3 roads council district—
All that area comprised within the county of Tauranga, the districts of Rotorua and Whakatane, and the boroughs of Kawerau, Mount Maunganui, Murupara, Tauranga, and Te Puke.
No. 6 roads council district—
All that area comprised within the counties of Taumarunui and Taupo and the boroughs of Taumarunui and Taupo.

Notice of Approval of Sirens in Terms of the Traffic Regulations 1976
NOTICE
Pursuant to regulation 88 of the Traffic Regulations 1976* and pursuant to the powers delegated to me by the Secretary for Transport, I, Trevor Alan Lister, Senior Automotive Engineer, hereby approve for the purpose of regulations 21 (11(a)), 21 (11(b)), 24 (3), 69 (3), and 69 (4), of the said regulations SIRENS of the make and type described in the Schedule hereto when fitted to motor cycles used by a traffic officer.
SCHEDULE
SIRENS manufactured by the Clarion Company of Japan and marked with either of the model designations “AH105U” or “AS105U”.
CNG Fuel Systems—Approval of Components for Experimental Purposes
NOTICE
Pursuant to regulation 90C of the Traffic Regulations 1976* (as inserted by the Traffic Regulations 1976, Amendment No. 7), and pursuant to the powers granted to me by the Secretary for Transport, I, Trevor Alan Lister, Senior Automotive Engineer, hereby approve the components listed in the Schedule hereto for experimental purposes, subject to the conditions set out in the said Schedule.
SCHEDULE
The CNG variable regulator manufactured by Diesel Injection Services of Lower Hutt with drawing number DIS002 and bearing the marking “DIS002” when fitted to the 1980 Commer heavy goods service vehicle registered number JK5020.
Provided that all other components of the CNG fuel system fitted to the said vehicle are comprised of components approved for use in CNG fuel systems and are installed in accordance with the requirements of New Zealand Standard NZS 5422, Part 2, 1980.
This approval for experimental purposes shall be limited for the period up to and including 31 March 1984.

Declaration of Vehicle with Motorcycle Controls to be a Motorcycle
Pursuant to section 2 (1) of the Transport Act 1962, and pursuant to an instrument of delegation dated the 29th day of September 1983, the Chief Controller Land Transport Policy hereby declares that the vehicle described in the Schedule hereto is a motorcycle for the purposes of the said Act.
SCHEDULE
The 3-wheeled vehicle with motorcycle controls and a 1200cc Volkswagen engine bearing the engine number 7407959, built in 1983 by Guthrie & Cumberbeach of Dunedin.
