Notification of Declaration of Infected Area Under Forest Disease Control Requirements 1967—Pine Needle Blight (Dothistroma pini)
The following declaration made under regulation 4 of the Forest Disease Control Regulations 1967, is hereby published in accordance with regulation 6 of the said regulations:
THE FOREST DISEASE CONTROL REGULATIONS 1967
Pursuant to regulation 4 of the Forest Disease Control Regulations 1967, I, Keith William Prior, Conservator of Forests, Invercargill, being an authorised Forest Officer under the said regulations, hereby declare the area described in the Schedule hereto an "infected area" in respect of the specified forest disease pine needle blight (Dothistroma pini).
This area extends the previously declared "infected area" as declared in the Gazette of 31 January 1980, No. 6.
SCHEDULE
All of the southern part of the South Island and Stewart Island including Southland, Wallace, Stewart Island, Lake, Vincent, Waitemo, Maniototo, Tuapeka, Clutha, Bruce and Silverpeaks Counties, and that part of Waitaki County that lies south of a straight line drawn between Kakanui on the east coast and Kakanui Peak on the boundary between Waitaki County and Maniototo County.
Notes:

This declaration comes into effect upon first publication in a newspaper circulating in the infected area constituted.

It is an offence to remove plants or Christmas tree material (branches, etc.) out of the "infected area", if these are of exotic pine, Douglas fir, sitka spruce or larch species and have not been treated as specified by an authorised forest officer.

In order to slow the build up of this disease, it remains an offence to bring into the area in this Schedule any infectious material namely exotic pine, Douglas fir, sitka spruce or larch species that have not been treated as specified by an authorised forest officer.

Pork Industry Board—Election of Producers Representative Ward No. 2 (All Areas of the Waikato and King Country South to Pio Pio and Turangi, Taupo, Bay of Plenty, East Coast and Gisborne)—Roll of Eligible Electors
Notice is given that a copy of the roll of pig producers eligible to vote in the forthcoming election for one producer member to represent Ward No. 2 on the Pork Industry Board, will be available for inspection at the following places:
(1) Head Office, Pork Industry Board, Level 11, Dalmuir House, Wellington:
(2) Head Office, Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Wellington:
(3) Mr J. Wallbank, Field Officer, care of Pig Research Unit, Ruakura.

The Fisheries (Hastings Commercial Fishing Restrictions) Notice 1984
Pursuant to section 89 of the Fisheries Act 1983 and the Fisheries (Commercial Fishing) Regulations 1983, the Director-General of Agriculture and Fisheries hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE
-
Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Fisheries (Hastings Commercial Fishing Restrictions) Notice 1984.
(2) This notice shall come into force on the day after the date of its publication in the Gazette. -
Interpretation—(1) In this notice, unless the context otherwise requires,—
"Danish seine net" means a net which has a wing on each side of a cod-end with a rope or fibrous warp attached to each wing and which is operated by being drawn over the bed of any waters or through any waters, the net being hauled to the vessel or to more than one vessel by a winch or other mechanical device or by hand:
"Danish seining" means the use of a Danish seine net:
"Finfish" includes the Classes Osteichthyes (boney fishes), Chondrichthyes (cartilaginous fishes), and Agnatha (jawless fishes):
"Mussel" means the green mussel (Perna canaliculus), the blue mussel (Mytilus edulis aoteanus), and the horse mussel (Atrina zelandica):
"Net" includes any net capable of being used to take fish; but does not include a whitebait net:
"Overall length" means the length of a vessel measured by a straight middle line from the extreme forward end to the extreme aft end of the hull of the vessel:
"Pair trawling" means any net that is towed or hauled through the water by more than one vessel:
"Paua" includes the ordinary paua (Haliotis iris) and the yellow foot paua (Haliotis australis):
"Rock lobster" means the fish of which the scientific names are Jasus edwardsii (commonly known as the spiny or red
