A84/236, Burnett Transport Limited, Ashburton: Amend Continuous Goods Service Licence No. 6849 by the addition of the following special conditions:

“The provisions of section 109 (1) of the Transport Act 1962 shall not apply to the cartage on 4 vehicles (2 of which will be trailers only) of green skins for processing from Pukeuri, and/or Pareora and/or Smithfield to Christchurch” and “The provisions of section 109 (1) of the Transport Act 1962 shall not apply to the cartage on 8 vehicles (4 of which will be trailers only) of temperature controlled products including empty boxes and pallets for the carriage of same on forward and return journeys throughout the South Island.”

Amend the above licences by transferring to Wellington Co-operative Taxis Ltd., Wellington as an alternative taxicab organisation. Obtain approval to disband and wind up Johnsonville Taxis Ltd.; to delete the condition restricting pickups to Johnsonville, Glenside and Paparangi.

A7/84/825, Balakrishnan Doraisamy and Kiruba Haran Munjandy, Linden: Solicitor, A. G. Sherriff, Wellington. Amend Taxicab Service Licence No. 14933 by transferring to Black, White & Grey Cabs, Wellington as an alternative taxicab organisation. Obtain approval to disband and wind up Johnsonville Taxis Ltd.; to delete the condition restricting pickups to Johnsonville, Glenside and Paparangi.

Amend all the above licences to permit: The cartage of unaccompanied goods.

Special Conditions:

(1) Hirings to be undertaken only through the radio telephone facilities.

(2) Charges for these hirings shall be in accordance with the scale of taxi charges as approved from time to time by the Secretary for Transport.

(3) Goods must be carried in the closed luggage boot.

(4) Any one item carried not to exceed 10 kgs gross weight.

(5) Neither the licensee nor the driver nor any other person shall undertake any advertising or soliciting to encourage such hirings.
