Notice of Marine Mammal Permit Application

PURSUANT to section 5 (5) of the Marine Mammals Protection Act 1978, the Minister of Fisheries advises that the Hawke's Bay Marineland and Aquarium Trust Board has applied for a permit to hold one (1) Leopard Seal (Hydrurga leptonyx) for display purposes and hereby calls for any submissions regarding this application to be made in writing within 28 days of publication of this notice.

Notice of Receipt of Application for an International Air Services Licence
PURSUANT to section 7 of the International Air Services Licensing Act 1947, notice is hereby given that Polynesian Airlines Operations Limited of Apia, Western Samoa, has applied for an International Air Service Licence to operate air services for the carriage of passengers, cargo, and mail between Auckland and Apia, optionally via Niue and/or Tonga, twice per week, and between Rarotonga and Apia optionally via Pago Pago twice per week. Further details of the proposal may be obtained from the Secretary for Transport, Ministry of Transport, Private Bag, Wellington.
Any person or organisation desiring to make representations relating to this application must forward those representations in writing to reach me on or before 29 November 1984.

- Pursuant to regulation 18 of the Freshwater Fisheries Regulations 1983, I hereby declare that—
(a) The sum payable by each South Island acclimatisation society to its Island Council in respect of each licence issued by it shall be as follows:

Areas of the Hauraki Gulf Determined Not Available for Marine Farm Leasing or Licensing (Notice No. 3379; Ag. 9/5/m)
PURSUANT to section 4 (2) of the Marine Farming Act 1971, the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, has determined that all the foreshore, seabed and waters of the Hauraki Gulf within the Auckland Regional Authority planning boundaries (but excluding the Mahurangi Harbour), shall not be available for marine farm leasing or licensing under the Act, except for those areas identified as available for marine farming on plan MAF No. 199, sheets 1 to 5.
The determination comes into effect from the date of publication of this notice, and will remain in effect until such time as it is revoked, varied, or amended subsequent to a review 5 years from the date of this notice.
Copies of plan MAF No. 199 are lodged in the offices of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries at Wellington and Auckland.

Local Authorities Loans Act 1956—Rates of Interest
PURSUANT to section 9 (4A) of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 (as inserted by section 4 (3) of the Local Authorities Amendment Act 1967) notice is hereby given that the Local Authorities Loans Board, acting with the approval of the Minister of Finance, has determined as follows:

This general determination shall apply to all money for which any local authority has received the sanction of the Board, given before the date of this notice, to borrow by way of special loan, other than money borrowed before the 9th day of November 1984.

Paragraph 2 of the general determination made by the Board and published in the Gazette on the 16th day of August 1984 at page 3181 is hereby cancelled.
