CORRIGENDUM
Land Acquired for the Generation of Electricity in Block III, Cromwell Survey District and Block V, Wakefield Survey District, Vincent County
In the declaration with the above heading published in New Zealand Gazette of 13 September 1984, No. 161 at page 3694, after the word “Lot” which appears in the first line of the Schedule, insert the figure 1, which appears in the original declaration signed for the Minister of Works and Development.

CORRIGENDUM
Price Order No. 290 (Flour and Wheatmeal)
NOTICE is hereby given that Price Order 290, dated 13 September 1984 and published in the Gazette, No. 162, dated 17 September 1984, on page 3754, has altered and should read as follows:
- New Zealand Wheat Board’s and Agents’ Selling Prices—Subject to the following provisions of this order, the maximum prices that may be charged or received by the New Zealand Wheat Board or its agents at the approved points of sale for any flour or wheatmeal to which this order applies, which is sold in not less than minimum quantity lots, shall not exceed the sum of the following amounts (provided that the prices charged shall include only that part of the following amounts which relates to the quantity sold):
(a) The price for the pack concerned calculated at the following rates:

(These prices are for net weights, when packed, of flour or wheatmeal and for payment within 14 days of delivery, are subject to 1¼ percent discount of the above prices after they have been reduced by the actual monetary unit increase per tonne approved in this price order.)
NOTE—Prices of stoneground wheatmeal are subject to special approvals under clause 8 of this order.

Officers of Government of Ross Dependency Appointed
DAVID BEATTIE, Governor-General
WHEREAS, by the Order in Council dated the 30th day of July 1923*, made under the British Settlements Act 1887 of the United Kingdom Parliament, the Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief of New Zealand for the time being (hereinafter called the Governor) was appointed to be the Governor of the Ross Dependency, and all the powers and authorities which by the said order were given and granted to the Governor for the time being of the Dependency were thereby vested in him:
And whereas the Governor was thereby further authorised and empowered to make all such rules and regulations as might lawfully be made by Her Majesty’s authority for the peace, order, and good government of the Dependency:
And whereas, by regulations made by the Governor on the 14th day of November 1923†, it was enacted that all persons appointed by the Governor for the time being of the Dependency should have such power and authority as might be granted them in due course of law, and might be empowered to do such things as might be necessary or desirable to ensure that the laws in force in the Dependency are duly observed and complied with in every respect, and to do all things necessary or expedient for the peace, order, and good government of the Dependency, and to safeguard and preserve Her Majesty’s rights and sovereignty over and in respect of the Dependency:
And whereas it is expedient that the persons hereinafter named be appointed officers of the Government of the Dependency:
Now, therefore, I, The Honourable Sir David Stuart Beattie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, and as such the Governor of the Ross Dependency, hereby appoint
Peter Lewis Cresswell, Esquire
as an officer of the Government of the Dependency for the period beginning with the 3rd day of October 1984 and ending with the close of the 11th day of October 1985:
And I hereby confer on the said Peter Lewis Cresswell while he holds office all the powers and authorities which may be exercised in New Zealand by a Justice of the Peace, and also the powers and authorities which may be so exercised by a Coroner:
And I hereby also appoint
Leo Bernard Slattery, Esquire
as an officer of the Government of the Dependency for the period beginning with the 3rd day of October 1984 and ending with the 11th day of October 1985 or such earlier date as he shall leave the Dependency:
And I hereby confer on the said Leo Bernard Slattery while he holds office all the powers and authorities that may be exercised in New Zealand by the Postmaster:
The said Peter Lewis Cresswell and the said Leo Bernard Slattery to exercise their functions at such places within the Dependency as may be directed by the officer for the time being appointed as an
