Amendment No. 1 now provides further detail of colour of buoyancy aids and colourfastness to sunlight. It amends the adjustable belts and colour requirements for lifejackets, buoyancy vests, buoyancy aid wet suits and buoyancy garments and fastenings for children’s lifejackets. An amendment is made to the clause on visibility at night and the tearing strength of the fabric of outer covering materials is relaxed. A corrigendum is made to the requirements for hooks for marine safety harnesses and lines.
