The Standards Act 1965—Overseas Specification Available for
Comment

PURSUANT to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards Act 1965,
notice is hereby given that the under-mentioned overseas
specification is being considered for endorsement as suitable for use
in New Zealand.

Number and Title of Specification

AS 1685:1984 Plastics pipes and fittings for gas reticulation—
Polyethylene compound for manufacturing. $21.50

AS 1685 is a reference document for NZS 7646:1978 and
endorsement of this revision is required for Certification Mark
purposes.

All persons who may be affected by this specification and who
desire to comment thereon, may obtain copies from the Standards
Association of New Zealand, Wellington Trade Centre, 15-23
Sturdee Street (or Private Bag), Wellington at the price shown.

The closing date for the receipt of comment is 30 October 1984.

Declaration of the National Hydatids Council for the Purposes of
Subsection (1A) of Section 73, Dog Control and Hydatids Act 1982
(No. 3321)

PURSUANT to subsection (1) of section 73, Dog Control and Hydatids
Act 1982, the National Hydatids Council hereby declares as follows:

  1. That all Hydatids and Dog Control Officers are hereby
    empowered from time to time to exempt dogs from
    examination and treatment for hydatids where the officer
    is satisfied that conditions relating to the control and
    feeding of the dog, the districts where it is usually kept or
    may be taken, the occupation of the owner, the purposes
    for which the dog is likely to be used, set by him in
    accordance with the Dog Control and Hydatids Act 1982
    and any Regulations thereunder, and the conditions set
    out in clause (2) of this declaration, are likely to be
    observed.

  2. That any exemption by a Hydatids and Dog Control Officer
    of any dogs shall be subject to the observation by the owner
    of the following conditions:

(a) That his dog(s) is/are not used for hunting or working
purposes at any time.

(b) That his dog(s) is/are kept under proper control at
all times.

(c) That his dog(s) is/are not fed or allowed access to
any raw offal or any untreated sheep or goat meat as defined
in the Dog Control and Hydatids Act 1982.

(d) That no dog(s) of his or in his care and control will
be taken on to any farm land or to any sale or any other
Hydatids Control District unless accompanied by a current
Special Owner Policy Certificate.

(e) That all dog(s) owned or kept by him will be registered
in accordance with the Dog Control and Hydatids Act 1982.

(f) That he shall comply with any notice lawfully given
pursuant to the Dog Control and Hydatids Act 1982
received from a Hydatids and Dog Control Officer.

(g) That he or his duly authorised agent shall always be
in attendance for the inspection of his property, and shall
render the officer every possible assistance as requested by
a Hydatids and Dog Control Officer.

(h) That the Hydatids and Dog Control Officer reserves
the right on reasonable grounds at any time to require the
dog(s) be treated with arecoline or in any other manner
approved by the National Hydatids Council.

(i) That any deaths, sales, or transfers of dogs owned by
him, including pups born to his dog(s) will be notified, in
writing, to the Hydatids and Dog Control Authority of his
area.

(j) That he understands that any breach of these
conditions will lead to the immediate cancellation of the
exemption of his dogs from hydatids examination and
treatment.

(k) That he is aware that the granting of an exemption
does not relieve him from payment of the full dog control
fee.

  1. That the National Hydatids Council, or the officer may from
    time to time review, amend or revoke any such exemptions
    where the Council or the officer is satisfied:

(a) That the exemption should not have been granted; or

(b) The conditions of the exemption have not been or
are not being observed.

New Zealand Forestry Council Levy 1984-85

PURSUANT to section 26 of the New Zealand Forestry Council Act
1983, the rate of levy for the 1984-85 financial year shall be 1.74c
per cubic metre of roundwood processed or exported during the
year ending on 31 March 1984.

The levy shall be paid to the New Zealand Forestry Council, P.O.
Box 5052, Wellington, no later than 20 November 1984.

The Traffic (Grey County) Notice No. 1, 1984

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, and pursuant to a delegation
from the Minister of Transport, and pursuant to a subdelegation
from the Secretary for Transport, I, Carne Maurice Clissold, Chief
Traffic Engineer, hereby give the following notice:

NOTICE

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Grey County) Notice No. 1,
1984.

The Traffic notice titled “Limited Speed Zone Declared”, dated
the 27th day of January 1958†, which relates to a Limited Speed
Zone at Camerons, issued pursuant to the Transport Act 1949, and
regulation 27 (2) (a) of the Traffic Regulations 1956 is hereby
revoked.

The Road Classification (National Roads Board) Notice No. 2,
1984

PURSUANT to regulation 3 of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations
1974*, and pursuant to the powers delegated to me by the Secretary
for Transport, I, Carne Maurice Clissold, Chief Traffic Engineer,
hereby give the following notice:

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Road Classification (National
    Roads Board) Notice No. 2 1984.

  2. It is hereby declared, as requested by the National Roads Board,
    that the State highway as set out in the Schedule hereto shall belong
    to the class set out in the said Schedule.

  3. So much of the notice dated the 13th day of June 1980† which
    relates to the classification of the highway described in the Schedule
    hereto is hereby revoked.
