Pilot Officer R. T. Robertson to be Flying Officer with seniority and effect from 29 March 1984.

Special Duties Division
Flight Lieutenant (temp. Squadron Leader) R. B. Smith to be Squadron Leader with seniority and effect from 14 April 1984.
Flying Officer K. J. McKenna, M.A.(HONS.), to be Flight Lieutenant with seniority and effect from 21 February 1984.
Pilot Officer K. A. J. Cunningham to be Flying Officer with seniority and effect from 26 July 1984.

Extension of Commission

Special Duties Division
The commission of Flight Lieutenant B. M. Clark, M.A.(HONS.), is extended to 4 May 1989.

Transfer to Retired List

Special Duties Division
Flight Lieutenant Norman Henry Bartholomew, M.B.E., B.E.M., is transferred to the Retired List ‘B’ with effect from 4 June 1984.

EDUCATION BRANCH

Promotion
Flight Lieutenant L. F. Butts, N.Z.C.E., to be Squadron Leader with seniority and effect from 7 April 1984.

Extension of Commission and Age for Retirement
The commission and age for retirement of Squadron Leader A. B. Herd are extended to 8 March 1989.

CHAPLAINS’ BRANCH
Chaplain Class III Trevor Alexander Squires (Anglican) is transferred to the Reserve of Air Force Officers until 8 June 1988, with effect from 9 June 1984.

Special Duties Division
The commission and age for retirement of Squadron Leader R. F. Little are extended to 13 July 1989.

Appointment of Member to Ruahine Pest Destruction Board

PURSUANT to section 31 of the Agricultural Pests Destruction Act 1967, I hereby appoint
Edwin Morton Hills (livestock officer, Feilding)
being an inspector appointed under Part III of the said Act, as a member of the Ruahine Pest Destruction Board, vice A. F. C. Paull, retired.

Kenneth Stewart Thomson, veterinarian of Dargaville (on the nomination of the Veterinary Services Council)
as member of the Veterinary Surgeons Board for the residue of the term of D. W. Caldwell, resigned, which expires on 31 December 1984.

PURSUANT to section 44 of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941, I, The Honourable Sir David Stuart Beattie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby appoint
Derek Stannard Wilshere, an officer of the Ministry of Works and Development
as a non-elective member of The Nelson Catchment Board for a period of 3 years from the date of this appointment.
