Vesting Reserves in the Ashburton Borough Council

PURSUANT to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the Assistant Commissioner of Crown Lands hereby vests the reserves described in the Schedule hereto, in the Ashburton Borough Council in trust for recreation purposes.

Classification of Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the Assistant Commissioner of Crown Lands hereby classifies the reserve, described in the Schedule hereto, as a scenic reserve, subject to the provisions of section 19 (1) (a) of the said Act.

MANGAOKAWA GORGE SCENIC RESERVE

197.9289 hectares, more or less, being Section 6, Block IV, Otanake Survey District, Rangitoto Tuhua 641 and Part 64J Blocks, parts Pukenui 2U1, 2U2 and 2U3 Blocks, and part bed of the Mangaokewa River, situated in Blocks IV, and VIII, Otanake Survey District. Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart as a Maori reservation for the purpose of an urupa for the common use and benefit of the Maori people of Pakipaki.

Declaring Railway Land at Waipahi Not Now Required for That Purpose to be Crown Land

PURSUANT to sections 24 and 30 of the New Zealand Railways Corporation Act 1981 and section 42 of the Public Works Act 1981, the General Manager of the New Zealand Railways Corporation with the prior written consent of the Minister of Railways hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land, subject to the Land Act 1948.

Notice of Approval of Code of Practice Under the Factories and Commercial Premises Act 1981

PURSUANT to section 51 (3) of the Factories and Commercial Premises Act 1981, the Minister of Labour hereby gives notice that he has approved the “Code of Practice for Photo Engraving and Lithographic Processes”.

Exchange and Sale of Marlborough Harbour Board Land

I, George Frederick Gair, Minister of Transport, having obtained the concurrence of the Minister of Finance pursuant to section 143A (3) of the Harbours Act 1950, hereby approve pursuant to section 143A (1) (a) and section 143c (1) (b) of the Harbours Act 1950, the exchange of the land referred to in the First and Second Schedules hereto by the Marlborough Harbour Board for the land referred to in the Third Schedule hereto and the sale of the last mentioned land by that Board pursuant to section 143c of the said Act; and I specify that my approval hereunder is effective from the date hereof.

FIRST SCHEDULE

ALL that parcel of land in the Land Registration District of Marlborough being Blocks I, II and III shown on the public map of the Clifford Bay Survey District, deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Blenheim, containing 1736.9108 hectares, more or less, and being all the land described in certificate of title 1D/140.
