Justice, hereby give notice that the Waikato Licensing Committee on 15 June 1984 made an order authorising variations of the usual hours of trading for the chartered club known as the Town and Country Club (Incorporated), Morrinsville.

To the intent that on days other than those on which chartered clubs are required to be closed for the sale of liquor its members the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:

(a) On any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday—Opening at 12 noon and closing at 10 o’clock in the evening.

(b) On any Thursday and Saturday—Opening at 12 noon and closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.

Notice Declaring Lands to be Infected Areas Under Potato Cyst Nematode Regulations 1974 (No. 3278; Ag. 61422)

PURSUANT to regulation 3(1) of the Potato Cyst Nematode Regulations 1974, notice is hereby given that the following lands are declared to be infected areas:

(a) The land on which potato cyst nematode has been found:
An area of 67 acres 1 rood 25 perches more or less, situated south-east of and adjoining Upper Queen Street, Pukekohe, being Lot 1 and part of Lot 3, Deposited Plan 28477, and being part of Allotments 42 and 48, Parish of Pukekohe, certificate of title 1D/635 (North Auckland Registry).

This land was previously scheduled (b) (Other land within a radius of 80 kilometres . . .) in notice No. 2101, 1979.

  • This notice should be read together with notices No. 1403, dated 25 March 1976, and No. 2101, dated 8 March 1979.

PURSUANT to regulation 3(1) of the Potato Cyst Nematode Regulations 1974, notice is hereby given that the following lands are declared to be infected areas:

(a) The land on which potato cyst nematode has been found:
An area of 14.0287 hectares more or less, situated north of and adjoining Logan Road, and west of and adjoining Harrisville Road, Pukekohe East, being Lot 2, Deposited Plan 70459, and being part Allotments 6 and 20, Parish of Pukekohe, certificate of title 27A/1016.

(b) Other land within a radius of 80 kilometres of the land described in paragraph (a) above being:
An area of 10.7905 hectares more or less, situated north of Logan Road, Pukekohe East, being Lot 1, Deposited Plan 70459 and being part Allotments 6 and 20, Parish of Pukekohe, certificate of title 21A/1015.

An area of 10 acres more or less, situated south-east of and adjoining Eden Road, being Allotment 159, Suburban Section 2, Parish of Pukekohe, certificate of title 2A/1418 (Auckland Registry).

This land was previously scheduled (b) (v) (Other land within a radius of 80 kilometres . . .) in notice No. 1278, 1975.

(b) Other land within a radius of 80 kilometres of the land described in paragraph (a) above being:
An area of 47 acres 0 roods 25.7 perches more or less, situated south-east of and adjoining Rodgers Road, Pukekohe, being Lot 2, Deposited Plan 10248 and Allotments 47, 48 and 51, Parish of Pukekohe, certificate of title 283/157.

Commerce Act 1975

NOTICE is hereby given of the following decisions of the Commerce Commission. The full text of these decisions may be inspected at the Commission’s offices, Sixth Floor, 163 The Terrace, Wellington. Copies may be purchased on application to the Commission, P.O. Box 10–273, Wellington.

Decision No. 86: By this decision, dated 5 July 1984, the Commission consented to the merger or takeover proposal between Lion Breweries Limited and Ballin Rattray Limited relating to the sale and purchase of various hotels previously held by two 50:50 hotel joint venture companies, namely Inns of Canterbury Limited and Associated Taverns Ltd.

Confiscation of Motor Vehicle

PURSUANT to the Criminal Justice Act 1954, section 44B Motor Vehicle Registration No. EX 9060, Hillman Super Minx motorcar, chassis No. 034901623, owned by John Alexander Robertson, 32 Chilcott Road, Hamilton, was confiscated by Judge J. E. Millar in the District Court, Hamilton on 8 March 1984, in accordance with the above Act.

Declaration of Vehicle with Motorcycle Controls to be a Motorcycle

PURSUANT to section 2(1) of the Transport Act 1962, and pursuant to an instrument of delegation dated the 29th day of September 1983, the Chief Controller, Land Transport Policy hereby declares that the vehicle declared in the Schedule attached hereto is a motorcycle for the purposes of the said Act.

SCHEDULE

THE 3-wheeled vehicle with motorcycle controls and a 1200 cc Volkswagen engine bearing the engine No. 9180752, first registered in 1979 and built by Stewart Johns of Waimate.
