PURSUANT to section 30 of the Fisheries Act 1983, the Minister of Fisheries hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE
- Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Controlled Fisheries (Bay of Plenty Maximum Licence and Boat Authority) Notice 1984.
(2) This notice shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.

Maximum number of licences fixed—The maximum number of licences which may be granted by the Fisheries Authority in respect of the Bay of Plenty Controlled Rock Lobster Fishery is hereby fixed at 102.

Unclaimed Property—Notice of Appointment of the Public Trustee as Manager Under Part V of the Public Trust Office Act 1957
PURSUANT to section 80(1) of the Public Trust Office Act 1957, the Public Trustee hereby gives notice that on 25 February 1981 and pursuant to the provisions of Part V, Public Trust Office Act 1957, an order was made by the High Court of New Zealand at Auckland, appointing the Public Trustee manager of the land described in the Schedule hereto such land being registered in the name of Francis William Boynton of Auckland, printer’s broker.
SCHEDULE

Bylaw Prohibiting the Use of Vehicles, Other Than Those of a Special Class, From Turning to the Right or the Left
PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962 (section 72 (1) (ka)) and the National Roads Act (section 13), the National Roads Board hereby makes the following bylaw.
BYLAW
-
This bylaw may be cited as National Roads Board Bylaw 1984/2.
-
This bylaw shall come into force on the day of its publication in the Gazette.

In this bylaw “special vehicles” means all passenger service vehicles as defined in section 2(1) of the Transport Act 1962 and all school buses as defined in regulation 2 of the Traffic Regulations 1976.

All vehicles travelling southward on the section of road between Beachcroft Avenue and the traffic signal controlled intersection on S.H. 20 (lying 400 metres west of Queenstown Road/Bel Air Drive intersection) shall proceed straight across the intersection without turning except for “special vehicles” which shall be permitted to turn to the right only.

Every person who commits an offence against this bylaw is liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding $200.
This bylaw was made by resolution duly passed at a meeting of the National Roads Board held in Wellington on the 20th day of June 1984.

Bylaw Prohibiting the Use of Vehicles Exceeding 13 Metres in Length on That Portion of No. 73 State Highway (Christchurch-Kumara) Between Arthur’s Pass and Otira
PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the National Roads Act 1953 and to all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling it, the National Roads Board hereby makes the following bylaw.
BYLAW
-
This bylaw may be cited as the National Roads Board Bylaw 1984/1.
-
This bylaw shall come into force on the day after its publication in the Gazette.

This bylaw shall apply to the summit of Arthur’s Pass to Barrack Creek (near Otira) section of No. 73 State Highway (Christchurch-Kumara).

No person shall drive or take or operate or permit to be driven or taken or operated on the portion of highway above described any vehicle if the vehicle, or its load, or the vehicle and load combined, exceed 13 metres in length; or any combinations of vehicles, the combined length of which inclusive of connections, or their loads, or both exceed 13 metres.

The prohibition imposed under this bylaw shall not apply to any vehicle, which, in the opinion of the District Commissioner of Works in Christchurch, must use the portion of highway above described for the purpose of repairing flood damage or of constructing, repairing or maintaining any part of the highway or any structure associated with it. Any vehicle operating under the authority of this clause of this bylaw shall travel only during any times specified, with such escort, and subject to any other conditions which may be prescribed by the District Commissioner of Works.

Every person who commits an offence against this bylaw is liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding $200 (two hundred dollars).

National Roads Board Bylaw 1982/3 (Gazette, 1982, page 3716) is revoked.
This bylaw was made by resolution duly passed at a meeting of the National Roads Board held in Wellington on the 20th day of June 1984.
