NFPA 497-1975 Recommended practice for classification of Class I hazardous locations for electrical installations in chemical plants.

Underwriters Laboratories (U.S.A.) Standards
UL 486A-1980 Wire connectors and soldering lugs for use with copper conductors (including revisions and additions up to May 1982).

UL 486B-1982 Wire connectors for use with aluminium conductors (including revisions and additions up to April 1982).

UL 674-1978 Motors and generators, electric, for use in hazardous locations, Class I, Groups C and D, Class II, Groups E, F, and G (including revisions and additions up to 28 January 1981). Declared suitable subject to the following conditions:

(i) Clause 13.46. Identification by the use of green tape or green adhesive labels is not acceptable.

(ii) Clauses 13.47 and 13.69 complying with clause 6.2 of NZS 1300.

(iii) Any plug fitted is of a type not prohibited from use in New Zealand.

UL 698-1973 Electrical industrial control equipment for hazardous locations, Class I, Groups A, B, C, and D, and Class II, Groups E, F, and G (including revisions and additions up to 13 March, 1981). Declared suitable subject to the following conditions:

(i) Clauses 10.33, 10.34 and 54.4 complying with Clause 6 of NZS 1300.

(ii) Any plug fitted is of a type not prohibited from use in New Zealand.

UL 781-1978 Portable electric lighting units for use in hazardous locations, Class I, Groups C and D, and Class II, Group E (including revisions and additions up to 31 October, 1980). Declared suitable subject to the following conditions:

(i) Any plug fitted is of a type not prohibited from use in New Zealand.

(ii) Clause 14.2 complying with clause 6.2 of NZS 1300.

UL 823-1977 Electric heaters for use in hazardous locations, Class I, Groups A, B, C, and D, and Class II, Groups E, F, and G (including revisions and additions up to 1 July, 1980). Declared suitable subject to the following conditions:

(i) Clauses 13.3 and 13.4 complying with Clause 6.2 of NZS 1300.

UL 844-1978 Electric lighting fixtures for use in hazardous locations (including revisions and additions up to April 16, 1982)

UL 886-1980 Outlet boxes and fittings for use in hazardous locations, Class I, Groups A, B, C, and D, and Class II, Groups E, F, and G (including revisions and additions up to 13 August, 1980). Declared suitable subject to the following conditions:

(i) Any plug fitted is of a type which is suitable for use in New Zealand.

(ii) Clauses 13.32 and 13.33 complying with Clause 6 of NZS 1300.

UL 894-1977 Switches for use in hazardous locations, Class I, Groups A, B, C, and D, and Class II, Groups E, F, and G (including revisions and additions up to 12 February, 1979). Declared suitable subject to the following condition.

(i) Clause 26.3—Voltage rating shall be marked in accordance with Regulation 89.

International Electrotechnical Commission
IEC 380: 1977 Safety of electrically energised office machines.
Compliance with a declared standard shall not preclude the need to comply with the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1976. This list of specifications supersedes all lists previously published in the New Zealand Gazette.

Subdivision of Land by the Northland Harbour Board

I, George Frederick Gair, Minister of Transport, having obtained the concurrence of the Minister of Finance pursuant to section 143A(3) of the Harbours Act 1950, hereby approve pursuant to section 143A(1) (a) of the Harbours Act 1950, the subdivision of the land referred to in section 143b of the said Act and I specify that my approval hereunder is effective from the date hereof.

SCHEDULE

FIRSTLY, all that parcel of land in the North Auckland Land District, being part Section 26, Block IX, Whangarei Survey District, containing 1010 square metres and being part of the land described in certificate of title 1111/139.

Secondly, all that parcel of land in the North Auckland Land District, being part Section 41, Block IX, Whangarei Survey District, containing 2800 square metres and being part of the land described in certificate of title 1D/1018.

Thirdly, all that parcel of land in the North Auckland Land District, being part Lot 12 on Deposited Plan 13347, containing 9300 square metres and being part of the land described in certificate of title 6A/512.

The Traffic (Thames Coromandel District) Notice No. 1, 1983

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice:

NOTICE

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Thames Coromandel District) Notice No. 1, 1983.

The road specified in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a 70 kilometres an hour speed limit area pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976*.

SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Thames Coromandel District at Colville:

Colville-Port Jackson Road: from a point 100 metres measured northerly, generally, along the said road from the Colville School entrance to a point 1000 metres measured southerly, generally, along the said road from the Colville School entrance.
