To the intent that on days other than those on which licensed
premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general
public the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises
shall be as follows:

(a) On any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday—
Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 10
o’clock in the evening.

(b) On any Friday, Saturday and Christmas Eve—Opening at 11
o’clock in the morning and closing at 11 o’clock in the
evening.

(c) On any New Year’s Eve—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning
and closing at 00.30 o’clock in the morning of New Year’s
Day.

Consent to Raising of Loans by Certain Local Authorities

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the undersigned
Deputy Secretary to the Treasury, acting under powers delegated to
the Secretary to the Treasury by the Minister of Finance, hereby
consents to the borrowing by the local authorities, mentioned in
the Schedule hereto, of the whole or any part of the respective
amounts specified in the Schedule.

Ministry of Transport—Approval of Revolving Amber Light for
Certain Vehicles

Pursuant to subclause (8) of regulation 67 of the Traffic Regulations
1976* and pursuant to powers delegated to me by the Secretary for
Transport, I, Carne Maurice Clissold, Chief Traffic Engineer, hereby
approve the fitting of one revolving or flashing yellow or amber
light on any motor vehicle owned or operated by Mobil Oil New
Zealand Ltd. This approval is given subject to the following
conditions:

  1. The light shall be used while the vehicle is parked and/or
    engaged in tanker discharge and ship bunkering operations, hose
    fitting, meter monitoring and valve operation at the Aotea
    Wharf, and the Rail Ferry marshalling yards at Wellington.

  2. The light shall be used when the vehicle is on tarmac at
    Wellington Airport.

  3. The light shall not be used while the vehicle to which it is fitted
    is travelling on a public road.

The Road Classification (Westland County) Notice No. 1, 1983

Pursuant to regulation 3 of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations
1974*, and pursuant to the powers delegated to me by the Secretary
for Transport, I, Carne Maurice Clissold, Chief Traffic Engineer,
hereby give the following notice:

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Road Classification (Westland
    County) Notice No. 1, 1983.

  2. The Westland County Council’s proposed classification of the
    roads as set out in the Schedule hereto is hereby approved.

  3. The notices dated the 3rd day of July 1950†, the 20th day of
    November 1967‡ and the 27th day of April 1972§ which relate
    to the classification of the roads described in the Schedule hereto are
    hereby revoked.

Notice of Approval of Bylaws

I, Alexander King Ewing, Controller Marine Administration,
pursuant to sections 8A and 165 of the Harbours Act 1950, and in
exercise of powers delegated to me pursuant to sections 8 and 9 of
the Ministry of Transport Act 1968, hereby approve the Waipa
County Council Lake Ngaroto Bylaw 1983, made by the Waipa
County Council at a special meeting held on 20 December 1982
and confirmed on 21 February 1983.

Determination of the Comptroller of Customs, Section 21, Sales
Tax Act 1974

I, Patrick John McKone, hereby give notice that, for the purposes
of section 21 of the Sales Tax Act 1974, I have determined that the
sale value of the goods enumerated below shall be in accordance
with section 21 (2) (d) of the Sales Tax 1974.

GOODS
40. Luggage and handbags.

Nothing contained in this Notice shall limit the applications of
any other section of Part IV of the Sales Tax Act 1974.

This notice is effective from 6 August 1982.
