Maori Land Development Notice

PURSUANT to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Maori Land Board hereby gives notice as follows:

NOTICE

1. This notice may be cited as Maori Land Development Notice Gisborne 1983, No. 1.

2. The notice referred to in the First Schedule hereto is hereby revoked by omitting all reference to the land described in the Second Schedule hereto.

3. The land described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby released from Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953.

Declaring Additional Maori Freehold Land to be Included in a Maori Reservation

PURSUANT to section 439 (2) of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto, is hereby declared to be included in the existing Maori reservation known as Poukawa 11T, 11U, and 11W, constituted by Order in Council dated 1 September 1959 and published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 55, 10 September 1959, page 1270.

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

PURSUANT to section 439 (1) of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart as a Maori reservation for the purpose of a marae to be known as Matatina marae for the common use and benefit of the members of the many sub-tribes of Ngati Whatua, Ngapuhi, and Te Rarawa.
