Notice of Approval of Bylaws

I, Beryl Ann Ranger, Senior Executive Officer (Harbours and Foreshores), pursuant to section 165 of the Harbours Act 1950, and in exercise of powers delegated to me pursuant to sections 8 and 9 of the Ministry of Transport Act 1968, hereby approve the Mangonui County Council (Foreshore Control) Bylaw No. 38, made by the Mangonui County Council on 19 November 1980 and confirmed on 21 January 1981.

The Water Recreation (Waikato River Outlet, Lake Taupo)
Notice 1983

I, Beryl Ann Ranger, Senior Executive Officer (Harbours and Foreshores), pursuant to Regulation 18 (1) of the Water Recreation Regulations 1979* and in exercise of powers delegated to me pursuant to section 8 and 9 of the Ministry of Transport Act 1968 hereby give the following notice:

NOTICE

  1. (a) This notice may be cited as the Water Recreation (Waikato River Outlet, Lake Taupo) Notice 1983.
    (b) This notice shall come into force 14 days after its publication in the New Zealand Gazette and shall remain in force until revoked by further notice in the Gazette.
  2. Subject to the conditions set forth in the Second Schedule hereto, regulations 7 (1) a, and 7 (1) b of the Water Recreation Regulations 1979 shall not apply to that area as specified in the First Schedule.

FIRST SCHEDULE

ALL the waters of the Waikato Outlet Channel, Lake Taupo, down stream of the outer channel marker and within the boat harbour.

SECOND SCHEDULE

  1. No person shall propel or navigate a small craft at a proper speed exceeding 3 knots when leaving the Waikato Outlet Boat Harbour, or proceeding upstream therein.
  2. Small craft entering the boat harbour are to maintain the minimum speed above the flow of water to maintain steerage way and control of their craft.
  3. No person shall propel or navigate a small craft at a proper speed exceeding 3 knots above the flow of water in the channel and boat harbour.
  4. Vessels entering and leaving the Waikato Outlet boat harbour are to proceed as far as practicable on that side of the channel and harbour which is upon the starboard (right) hand. Vessels are to pass between the outer markers, except when, due to lake levels, an alternative channel marked by a red can buoy and green conical buoy, is designated.
  5. Sailing and overtaking are prohibited in the boat harbour and channel.
  6. All persons in charge of a vessel shall adhere to and keep the provisions of all Acts and regulations not specifically exempted by this notice.
  7. A suitable notice as may be approved by the Regional Marine Officer, Ministry of Transport, Auckland, shall be erected at the sites deemed necessary by the Regional Marine Officer.

Notice of Intent to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Licensed Premises—Hawke’s Bay Licensing Committee

PURSUANT to section 221A of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, as amended by section 22 (14) of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, Stanley James Callahan, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Hawke’s Bay Licensing Committee on 2 December 1982 made an order authorising variations of the usual hours of trading for the licensed premises known as the Central Hotel, Napier.

To the intent that on days other than those on which licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:
(a) On any Friday, Saturday, and Christmas Eve (not being New Year’s Eve)—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.
(b) On any New Year’s Eve—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 00.30 o’clock on the morning of New Year’s Day.

PURSUANT to section 221A of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, as amended by section 22 (14) of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, Stanley James Callahan, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Manawatu Licensing Committee on 3 December 1982 made an order authorising variations of the usual hours of trading for the licensed premises known as the Apliti Tavern.

To the intent that on days other than those on which licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:
(a) On any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 10 o’clock in the evening.
(b) On any Friday and Saturday—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.
(c) On any Christmas Eve—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.
(d) On any New Year’s Eve—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 00.30 o’clock on the morning of New Year’s day.

To the intent that on days other than those on which Chartered Club are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to its members the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:
(a) On any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 10 o’clock in the evening.
(b) On any Friday and Saturday—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.
