Harbour Board, the income and proceeds from such assets, and the income derived from harbour activities and endowment lands shall be applied to the maintenance and development of the Riverton Harbour, to the maintenance and improvement of the endowment lands previously vested in the Riverton Harbour Board and for such other purposes for the benefit of the Riverton Community as the Wallace County Council may decide upon the recommendation of the Riverton Harbour Committee established in accordance with clause 25 of this order.

  1. Accounting—For accounting purposes, the functions of the Riverton Harbour Board succeeded to by the Wallace County Council shall be a separate activity for which a separate account shall be established and maintained; and the income derived from the endowment lands previously vested in the Riverton Harbour Board shall be deemed to be revenue derived from that activity.

  2. Bylaws—All bylaws of the Riverton Harbour Board in force immediately before the commencement of this order shall, to the extent that they do not conflict with any other bylaw of the Wallace County Council, be deemed to be bylaws of the Wallace County Council.

  3. Harbour limits—The Riverton Harbour limits in force immediately before the commencement of this order shall endure.

  4. Constitution of Riverton Harbour Committee—(1) The Wallace County Council shall forthwith establish and maintain a standing committee of the council to be known as “The Riverton Harbour Committee” to exercise such powers and duties as may be delegated to it by the Wallace County Council pursuant to Part V of the Local Government Act 1974 (which includes provisions relating to committees) for the management and control of the Riverton Harbour.

(2) Until the 1983 triennial general election of members of local authorities the Riverton Harbour Committee shall comprise the persons who held office as the members of the Riverton Harbour Board immediately before the commencement of this order and the person who held office as the chairman of the Riverton Harbour Board immediately before the commencement of this order shall be the chairman of the Riverton Harbour Committee.

The Auckland Metropolitan Drainage District Order 1983

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 14th day of March 1983

THE RIGHT HON. D. MACINTYRE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS, pursuant to section 43 (4) of the Auckland Regional Authority Act 1963, the Auckland Regional Authority is entitled to exercise all the powers, authorities, and discretions vested in the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Board by the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Act 1960;

And whereas the said Auckland Regional Authority has petitioned His Excellency the Governor-General that certain land be included in the Inner Area of the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage District;

Now therefore, pursuant to section 8 of the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Act 1960, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order:

ORDER

  1. Title and commencement—(1) This order may be cited as the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage District Order 1983.
    (2) This order shall come into force on the 1st day of April 1983.

  2. Inner Area extended—The boundaries of the Inner Area of the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage District are hereby altered so as to include the land described in the First, Second, and Third Schedules to this order.

  3. Determination of financial obligations—The financial obligations and assessment under the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Act 1960 of the Waimata City Council with respect to the land described in the First and Second Schedules to this order, and of the Manukau City Council with respect to the land described in the Third Schedule to this order shall be determined on and from the 1st day of April 1983.

FIRST SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, City of Waimata, bounded by a line commencing at the north-western corner of Lot 165, D.P. 77079 in Block X, Waimata Survey District and proceeding northerly along a right line to the south-western corner of Lot 2, D.P. 82286; thence north-easterly along the north-western boundaries of that Lot 2 and 1, D.P. 82286 to the northern corner of the lastmentioned Lot 1; thence north-westerly, north-easterly and south-easterly along the south-western, north-western and north-eastern boundaries of Part Lot 85, D.P. 41172 to the western corner of Lot 2, D.P. 41172; thence north-easterly along the south-eastern boundary of Lot 7, D.P. 67207 to the north-eastern corner of Lot 9, D.P. 41172, along a right line to the north-western corner of Lot 10, D.P. 41172, along the south-eastern boundary of Lot 6, D.P. 67207 to the north-eastern corner of Lot 24, D.P. 41172, along a right line to the southernmost corner of that Lot 1, D.P. 41560, along the south-eastern boundary of that Lot 1 to the northern corner of Lot 29, D.P. 41172; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of that Lot 29 to the western corner of Lot 30, D.P. 41172; thence north-easterly along the north-western boundary of that Lot 30 to its northern corner; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of Lot 30, D.P. 41172 and Part Allotment 53, Waipareira Parish and the production of the lastmentioned boundary to the south-eastern side of Hobsonville Road; thence south-westerly along the boundary of the Inner Area of the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage District as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1972, page 847 to the point of commencement.

SECOND SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, City of Waimata bounded by a line commencing at the westernmost corner of Lot 9, D.P. 55468 in Block XIV, Waimata Survey District and proceeding south-easterly along the south-western boundary of the said Lot 9, along a right line to the westernmost corner of Lot 8, D.P. 55468 and along the south-western boundaries of Lots 8 and 7, D.P. 55468 to the south-western corner of the said Lot 7; thence south-westerly along a right line to a point on the western boundary of part Section 28, Block XIV, Waimata Survey District 51.5 metres from the southern corner of Lot 1, D.P. 67059; thence north-easterly along the north-western boundary of the said part Section 28 and the south-eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 67059 to the point of commencement.

THIRD SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, City of Manukau bounded by a line commencing at the north-eastern corner of Lot 1, D.P. 63818 in Block VII, Otahuhu Survey District and proceeding easterly along the production of the northern boundary of that Lot 1, to a point in line with the northerly production of the easternmost boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 73796; thence southerly along that production to a point in line with the northern boundary of the land shown on D.P. 70081; thence westerly along that line to the eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 63818; thence northerly along the eastern boundary of that Lot 1 to the point of commencement.

The Appointment of Litter Wardens Order 1983

PURSUANT to section 8 (4) of the Litter Act 1979, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order:

ORDER

  1. Title and commencement—(1) This order may be cited as the Appointment of Litter Wardens Order 1983.
    (2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

  2. Appointment of Litter Wardens—Those persons from time to time holding office as the Executive Director, Assistant Executive Director, Publicity Officer, and Field Officers of the New Zealand Litter Control Council (Incorporated) are hereby appointed to be Litter Wardens for the purposes of the Litter Act 1979.

  3. Revocation—That part of the Order in Council appointing as Litter Wardens those persons from time to time holding office as the Executive Director, Assistant Executive Director, Publicity Officer, and Auckland Field Officer of the New Zealand Litter Control Council (Incorporated), made on 18 February 1980 and published in the New Zealand Gazette, 28 February 1980, page 550 is hereby revoked.
