of the Horowhenua County Council from whose district
the area is hereby excluded;
(c) Shall have and may exercise and be responsible for all actions,
suits, and proceedings pending by or against, or which
would have been the responsibility of, the Horowhenua
County Council from whose district the area is hereby
excluded;
(d) Shall succeed to the bylaws which are in force and which are
applicable to the authority’s altered circumstances and,
until revoked or altered by the Otaki Borough Council,
every such bylaw shall remain in force in the area in which
it was in force immediately before the alteration of bound-
aries; and every bylaw which cannot be restricted to the
area shall be deemed inapplicable and revoked in respect
of the area by the alteration of boundaries;
(e) Shall succeed to all rates or levies and other money payable
to the Horowhenua County Council from whose district
the area is hereby excluded;
(f) Shall succeed to the valuation rolls, electoral rolls, and rate
records in force in the area, and these shall remain in force
until such rolls or records are made by the Otaki Borough
Council; and until that time Part IX of the Rating Act
1967 shall apply as if the district in which the area was
included was the district of a special purpose authority and
the areas from which it was formed were constituent dis-
tricts.

Vesting of land—The corporation of Otaki Borough shall, in
respect of the said area, have vested in it, subject to all existing
encumbrances, all land in that area previously vested in the cor-
poration of Horowhenua County. -
Mayor and principal administrative officer—The mayor and
principal administrative officer of the Otaki Borough Council shall
exercise the duties, powers, and functions of the chairman and prin-
cipal administrative officer of the Horowhenua County Council in
respect of the said area. -
Creditors—Subject to section 37F of the Local Government
Act 1974, the rights or interests of creditors of any district affected
by this order shall not be affected. -
Rating—The system of rating in the said area shall continue
to be the land value system.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District containing 48.9080
hectares, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the east-
ernmost corner of Lot 2, D.P. 51525, in Block IX, Waiotu Survey
District, and proceeding south-westerly along the south-eastern
boundary of Lot 2 aforesaid to the southernmost corner of the said
Lot 2; thence generally north-westerly along the south-western
boundaries of Lots 2 and 1, D.P. 51525, and Lots 2 and 1, D.P.
46977, to the westernmost corner of Lot 1 aforesaid; thence north-
easterly along the north-western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 46977, to
the northernmost corner of the said Lot 1; thence generally south-
easterly along the boundaries of the Borough of Otaki as described
in Gazette 1976, page 2086, to the point of commencement.

term of office of B. E. Mather, resigned, which expires on 31
December 1983.

Reconstituting the North-west Nelson State Forest Park Advisory
Committee

PURSUANT to regulation 3 of the State Forest Parks and Forest
Recreation Regulations 1979, the Minister of Forests hereby
reconstitutes the North-west Nelson State Forest Park Advisory
Committee.
The reconstituted committee shall consist of the Conservator of
Forests, Nelson, and 9 appointed members, namely:

Keith Frederick Olsen,
Janice Callum Heine,
