Declaring Land to be Crown Land

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 265 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, I, The Honourable Sir David Stuart Beattie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, being satisfied that the land described in the Schedule hereto has been vested in the Crown hereby declare the said land to be subject to the Land Act 1948.

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that piece of land situated in Block IX, Thames Survey District and Block IX, Tairua Survey District and described as follows:

Horowhenua County - Otaki Borough Boundaries Alteration Order 1983

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 28th day of February 1983.
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. R. D. MULDOON PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Local Government Act 1974, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order:
ORDER
-
Title and commencement—(1) This order may be cited as the Horowhenua County - Otaki Borough Boundaries Alteration Order 1983.
(2) This order shall come into force on the 1st day of April 1983. -
Boundaries of Horowhenua County and Otaki Borough altered—The boundaries of Horowhenua County and Otaki Borough are hereby altered by excluding from Horowhenua County and including in Otaki Borough the area described in the Schedule to this order (hereafter referred to as “the said area”).

Transitional provisions—The Otaki Borough Council in respect of the said area:
(a) Shall have and may exercise and be responsible for all the powers, duties, acts of authority, and functions which were previously exercised, or which would have been so exercised, by the Horowhenua County Council from whose district the area is hereby excluded;
(b) Shall have and may exercise and be responsible for all liabilities, obligations, engagements, and contracts which previously were, or which would have been, the responsibility
