Notice Constituting Defence Area as Burnham Defence Rural Fire District

1. The following notice may be cited as the Burnham Defence Rural Fire District Notice.

2. Pursuant to section 4 (2) of the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1977, notice is hereby given by the Minister of Forests as follows:

(1) The area sufficiently described in the Schedule to this notice, being a Defence Area within the meaning of the Defence Act 1971, and not included in a fire district within the meaning of the Fire Service Act 1975, is at the request of the Minister of Defence hereby constituted and declared to be a rural fire district, which shall be known as the Burnham Defence Rural Fire District.

(2) This notice shall come into effect on the 7th day of December 1983.

Revocation of a Consent to Generation

PURSUANT to section 25 of the Electricity Act 1968, the Minister of Energy hereby revokes a consent dated the 21st day of May 1970 (New Zealand Gazette, 28 May 1970, No. 31, p. 927), authorising Ivan Lewis Key, of Mount Creighton, Queenstown, sheep farmer, to generate electricity by the use of water.

PURSUANT to section 7 of the International Air Services Licensing Act 1947, notice is hereby given that Air Niugini of Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, has applied for an International Air Service Licence to operate air services for the carriage of passengers, cargo, and mail between Hong Kong, Papua New Guinea, and New Zealand.
