A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 422 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, I, The Honourable Sir David Stuart Beattie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby declare the land described in the Schedule hereto, and used as a roadway, to be road, and to be vested in the Crown.

The Hawke’s Bay Region Constitution Order 1983

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington this 28th day of November 1983
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Local Government Act 1974, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order:
ORDER
- Title and commencement—(1) This order may be cited as the Hawke’s Bay Region Constitution Order 1983.
(2) This order shall come into force on the 1st day of December 1983, except insofar as it is necessary for the constituent authorities to proceed prior to that date with the appointment of the first members of the council in terms of clause 6 of this order, and for matters incidental thereto.
- Hawke’s Bay Region—(1) There is hereby constituted a region to be called the Hawke’s Bay Region (hereinafter referred to as “the Region”).
(2) The constituent districts of the Region shall be the districts of:
(a) The County of Wairoa;
(b) The Borough of Wairoa;
(c) The County of Hawke’s Bay;
(d) The City of Napier;
(e) The City of Hastings;
(f) The Borough of Havelock North;
(g) The District of Waipawa;
(h) The District of Waipukurau.
