Maori Land Development Notice

PURSUANT to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby gives notice as follows:

NOTICE

1. This notice may be cited as Maori Land Development Notice Gisborne 1983, No. 3.

2. The notice referred to in the First Schedule hereto is hereby revoked by omitting all reference to the land described in the Second Schedule hereto.

3. The land described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby released from Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953.

PURSUANT to sections 24 and 30 of the New Zealand Railways Corporation Act 1981 and section 52 of the Public Works Act 1981, the General Manager of the New Zealand Railways Corporation with the prior written consent of the Minister of Railways hereby declares that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart, subject to the Housing Act 1955, for State housing purposes.

Inclusion of Areas of Lake, Harbour and Territorial Sea in the Region of the Northland United Council

PURSUANT to section 19 (2) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1977, the Minister of Works and Development hereby declares that for the purpose of regional planning, the lakes, harbours and territorial seas within the area described in the Schedule hereto are hereby included in the region of the Northland United Council, a body constituted pursuant to the Local Government Act 1974 by Order in Council dated 26 November 1979 and published in New Zealand Gazette, 28 November 1979, No. 111, page 3701.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area of lake, harbour and territorial sea within a line commencing at the middle of the mouth of the Mangawhai Stream in Block III, Mangawhai Survey District and proceeding generally south-westerly along the south-eastern boundary of the Northland Region as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1979, page 3701 to the mean high water mark of Topuni River thence to and generally westwards along the middle line of the Topuni River, Oruawharo River and Kaipara Harbour to the middle of the entrance of Kaipara Harbour; thence along a right line on a true bearing of 230° to the outer limit of the territorial sea (as shown on sea chart NZ 23); thence north-westerly, easterly, south-easterly and southerly along the outer limit of the territorial sea around the Northland peninsula to a point at the intersection of a right line produced on a true bearing of 55° from the middle of the Mangawhai Harbour entrance near Sentinel Rock; thence proceeding south-westerly along that line to and along the middle line of the Mangawhai Harbour to the point of commencement.
