Transport Act 1962—Approval of Seals

WHEREAS the Secretary for Transport is empowered by section 113E(2) of the Transport Act 1962, to approve a type of seal for the attachment to any part of a vehicle or its load, and whereas the Secretary for Transport is absent from duty and, in accordance with section 6 of the Ministry of Transport Act 1968, the Deputy Secretary

shall have and may exercise all of his powers, now therefore, I, Brian John Lynch, Deputy Secretary for Transport, in terms of section 113E(2) of the Transport Act 1962, hereby approve numerically serialised metal seals bearing the letters NZ MAF.

PURSUANT to regulation 3 of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1974*, and pursuant to the powers delegated to me by the Secretary for Transport, I, Carne Maurice Clissold, Chief Traffic Engineer, hereby give the following notice:

NOTICE

1. This notice may be cited as the Road Classification (Featherston County) Notice No. 1, 1983.

2. The Featherston County Council’s proposed classification of the roads as set out in the Schedule hereto is hereby approved.

3. The notice dated the 19th day of May 1982† which relates to the classification of the roads described in the Schedule hereto is hereby revoked.
