HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 13 of the Reserves Act 1977, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares the nature reserve described in the Schedule hereto, to be a National reserve, subject to the provisions of the said Act.
SCHEDULE
SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT—SNARES ISLANDS NATURE RESERVE
350 hectares, more or less, being that group of islands known as Snares Islands, situated in the South Pacific Ocean, in approximate latitude 48° 02' south and longitude 166° 33' east. All New Zealand Gazette, 1961, page 1781. S.O. 10392.
Also, all that land, being the foreshores of that group of islands known as the Snares Islands, situated in the South Pacific Ocean in approximate latitude 48° 02' south and longitude 166° 33' east. All New Zealand Gazette, 1975, page 2284.

PURSUANT to section 35 of the Defence Act 1971, His Excellency the Governor-General has approved the following appointments, promotions, extensions, transfers, resignations, and retirements of officers of the Royal New Zealand Air Force:

Group Captain M. E. A. Dillon is appointed Provost Marshal of the Royal New Zealand Air Force with effect from 6 October 1983, vice Group Captain M. W. Hodge, A.F.C.
Flight Lieutenant R. K. Parton is appointed Deputy Provost Marshal of the Royal New Zealand Air Force with effect from 23 January 1978.

Group Captain M. W. Hodge, A.F.C., to be Air Commodore with seniority and effect from 6 October 1983.
Wing Commander J. S. Hosie to be Group Captain with seniority and effect from 6 October 1983.
