at Wanaka Now Set Apart for Railway Purposes
PURSUANT to sections 24 and 30 of the New Zealand Railways
Corporation Act 1981 and section 52 of the Public Works Act 1981,
the General Manager of the New Zealand Railways Corporation
hereby declares that the land described in the Schedule hereto is
hereby set apart for and on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen for
railway purposes.

Notice of Cessation of Appointment of Licensing Authority
PURSUANT to section 7(3) of the Dangerous Goods Act 1974, I
hereby declare that the Pahiatua Borough Council has ceased to be
a licensing authority for the purposes of the Dangerous Goods Act
1974 as from the 30th day of September 1983.

Remembrance Day 1983
CITIZENS throughout New Zealand are requested to observe
Remembrance Day on Sunday, 13 November.
The observance of this day should be similar to that of
Remembrance Day last year. Two minutes’ silence should be
observed from 11 a.m.
The Government trusts that all churches will agree to arrange, as
far as practicable, for a morning service on this day, to commence
at such time as to enable 2 minutes’ silence to be observed at 11
o’clock.
When a citizens’ memorial service is held, it is suggested that it
should be at the local cenotaph or war memorial.

International Air Services Licence
PURSUANT to section 14 of the International Air Services Licensing
Act 1947, notice is hereby given that Qantas Airways Limited of
Sydney, Australia, has applied for an amendment to its International
Air Services Licence to operate air services for the carriage of
passengers, cargo, and mail between Auckland and Cairns optionally
via Townsville, Australia. Further details of the proposal may be
obtained from the Secretary for Transport, Ministry of Transport,
Private Bag, Wellington.
Any person or organisation desiring to make representations
relating to this application, must forward these representations in
writing to reach me on or before 25 November 1983.
