ELECTRIC LINE
THE line for the transmission of electricity across Palmer Road
between the Natural Gas Corporation of New Zealand Limited’s
land on the east side and thence to its land on the west side of the
said road, at a point approximately 750 metres north of Skeet Road,
situated in Block XV, Kaupokonui Survey District and as more
particularly shown on the plan marked NZE 1051 deposited in the
office of the Electricity Division, Ministry of Energy, at Wellington.

The Traffic (Silverpeaks County) Notice No. 1, 1983

NOTICE
PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport
hereby gives the following notice:
This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Silverpeaks County) Notice
No. 1, 1983.
The road specified in the First Schedule hereto is hereby declared
to be a 70-kilometres-an-hour speed limit area pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.*
The notice titled “Declaring Area to be a Closely Populated
Locality for the purposes of the Motor Vehicles Amendment Act
1936, Section 3”, dated the 11th day of October 1948,† is hereby
revoked.

SITUATED within Silverpeaks County:
Three Mile Hill Road: From the boundary of Dunedin City and
Silverpeaks County to a point 650 metres measured westerly, generally,
along the said road from the said boundary.

Chatham Islands County Council Electricity Supply Licence 1983

I, W. F. Birch, Minister of Energy, acting pursuant to section 20 of
the Electricity Act 1968, hereby licenses the Chatham Islands
County Council to supply electricity and to lay, construct, put up,
place, and use all electric lines, and works which may from time
to time be required for the distribution and supply of electricity
within the area specified in the Schedule hereto.
The licence is issued subject to the following conditions:
CONDITIONS
-
This licence may be cited as the Chatham Islands Electricity
Supply Licence. -
The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the
Electrical Supply Regulations 1976, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1976, and with all regulations made in amendment thereof or
in substitution therefore except insofar as they may be inconsistent
with the provisions of this licence. -
The systems of supply shall be as described in paragraphs (a),
(b), (c), (d), (e), and (f) of regulation 15 of the Electrical Supply
Regulations 1976. -
This licence shall be deemed to come into force on the 1st day
of April 1983 and shall continue in force for a period of 21 years
from that date unless it is sooner lawfully determined.

deposited in office of the Electricity Division of the Ministry of

Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Licensed Premises—Northland Licensing Committee

PURSUANT to section 221A and 221B of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962,
I, Stanley James Callahan, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice
that the Northland Licensing Committee on 20 December 1982,
made an order authorising variations of the usual hours of trading
for the licensed premises known as the Duke of Marlborough Hotel,
Russell.
To the intent that on days other than those on which licensed
premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public the hours for the opening and closing of the said
premises shall be as follows:
(a) On any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and
Saturday. Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and
closing at 10 o’clock in the evening.
(b) On any Christmas Eve. Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning
and closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.
(c) On any New Year’s Eve. Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning
and closing at 00.30 o’clock on the morning of New Year’s
Day.

PURSUANT to section 2 (3) of the Meat Act 1981, I hereby declare
that the rural meat area gazetted in the notice entitled “Meat Industry Authority (Notice No. 35, M.I.A. 3/8/2) declaring Rural Meat
Areas” in the New Zealand Gazette of Thursday, 8 October 1981,
No. 117, at page 2799 as the “Waitomo District Council—all that
area of Waitomo District contained within the boundary of the Pio
Pio community, and also that area within a radius of 5 kilometres
from the boundary of the Pio Pio community” to be no longer
designated as a rural meat area as the rural slaughterhouse licence
No. A 123 of the premises of the Andrews Butchery, Pio Pio was
cancelled pursuant to section 40 (2) of the Meat Act 1981 on the
5th day of November 1982.
