Kapuni to Wellington Natural Gas Pipeline Duplication—
Wanganui Loop Stage II—Notice of Application
NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to the provisions of the
Petroleum Act 1937, the Natural Gas Corporation of New Zealand
Limited has applied to the Minister of Energy for an Authorisation
to convey natural gas by a duplicate section of the Kapuni to
Wellington pipeline from Mosston Road in Wanganui to the Kaitoke
Compression Station approximately 10 kilometres to the south.
Generally the route follows the existing Kapuni to Wellington
pipeline.
Copies of the application can be inspected at the offices of the
Wanganui City Council, Wanganui County Council and the site
office of the Ministry of Works and Development, Pipeline Project,
Palmerston North.
Submissions on the proposal may be made within 30 days of the
date of this advertisement and should be sent to the Ministry of
Energy, Private Bag, Wellington.

Notice of Approval of Bylaws
I, Alexander King Ewing, Controller Marine Administration,
pursuant to section 165 of the Harbours Act 1950, and in exercise
of powers delegated to me pursuant to sections 8 and 9 of the
Ministry of Transport Act 1968, hereby approve the Auckland City
Council and Auckland Harbour Board Joint Foreshore Control
Bylaw No. 1, adopted by the Auckland Harbour Board at a special
meeting held on 16 August 1983, and confirmed by the Auckland
City Council on 25 August 1983.

The Standards Act 1965—Draft New Zealand Amendment
Available for Comment
PURSUANT to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards Act 1965,
notice is hereby given that the following draft amendment is being
circulated.
Number and Title of Specification
DZ 1125/5A Draft Amendment No. 5A to NZS 1125:1953 (BS
546:1950) Round-pin, two-pole and earthing-pin plugs, socket-
outlets and socket-outlet adaptors for use on circuits up to
250 volts and up to and including 30 amperes.
Amendment No. 5A places on record the declaration of
Amendment No. 5 (AMD 4045) to BS 546:1950 as an amendment
to NZS 1125:1953.
The amendment introduces a minor design change in clause 33
which increases the allowable millivolt drop on new socket contacts,
from 12 mV to 25 mV. The effect is a slight relaxation for the
manufacturer.
Comments are also invited on whether these round-pin British
plugs are used in New Zealand and whether the Standard is still
required. If not, NZS 1125 will be recommended for revocation.
All persons who may be affected by this amendment and who
desire to comment thereon may obtain copies from the Standards
Association of New Zealand, Wellington Trade Centre, 15–23
Sturdee Street (or Private Bag), Wellington.
The closing date for receipt of comment is 24 February 1984.

September 1983 made an order authorising variations of the usual
hours of trading for the licensed premises known as the Noahs Hotel,
