Wellington Fire District Notice 1983

NOTICE

1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Wellington Fire District Notice 1983.

(2) This notice shall come into effect on the 1st day of November 1983.

(3) The Wellington, Porirua, and Upper Hutt Fire Districts declared to be fire districts by section 26 (1) of the Fire Service Act 1975 are to be abolished.

(4) The Hutt Valley Fire District declared to be a Fire District by the Hutt Valley Fire District Notice in the New Zealand Gazette of 1 July 1976 (No. 75, page 1518) is to be abolished.

(5) The boundaries of the Wellington Fire District shall be as defined in the following First and Second Schedules.

FIRST SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District in the City of Porirua, and including all adjoining reclaimed land and wharves, containing 1940 hectares, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the line of mean high water of the sea due north-west of the northernmost corner of Pukerua 3C1A in Block III, Paekakariki Survey District, and proceeding due south-east to and generally south-easterly along the eastern boundary of Pukerua 3C1A, the northern boundary of part Pukerua 2, Subdivision 2 (C.T. 370/176), and the generally eastern boundaries of Pukerua 2, Subdivisions 2 and 3 to the south-eastern corner of the said Subdivision 3; thence generally westerly along the northern boundary of Pukerua 2, Subdivision 4, the western boundaries of Pukerua 2, Subdivisions 4, 5, and 6, and the northern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 44495 to the eastern side of No. 1 State Highway;

Thence southerly along that side to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Section 84, Porirua District, and along a right line to and along that boundary and its production to the line of mean high water of Porirua Harbour; thence south-westerly and generally northerly along the line of mean high water of Porirua Harbour and the sea to the point of commencement.

SECOND SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District in the Cities of Wellington, Lower Hutt, Upper Hutt, and Porirua, the Boroughs of Petone and Tawa, and Hutt County, and including all reclaimed land and wharves adjoining these Local Authorities, containing 47, 450 hectares, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the line of mean high water of Porirua Harbour due north of the middle of James Cook Drive, in Block IX, Paekakariki Survey District, and proceeding due south to and southerly along the Discovery Drive to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Lot 1225, D.P. 48306; thence generally westerly to and along that boundary, the southern boundaries of Lots 1225, 1224, 1223, 1222, and 1221, D.P. 48306, to the eastern side of Discovery Drive; thence generally southerly along that eastern side, and the western and southern boundaries of Lot 10, D.P. 46014, to and along the eastern boundaries of Lot 4, D.P. 49037, Lot 2, D.P. 49191, and Lot 4, D.P. 49190 to the easternmost corner of the said Lot 4; thence north-westerly along the southern boundaries of Lots 4, 1878, 1879, 1882, and 1883, D.P. 49190 and along a right line to the southernmost corner of Lot 1218, D.P. 50117;

Thence generally northerly along the eastern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 53746, and the western side of Discovery Drive, to and westerly along the southern boundaries of Lot 1, D.P. 45521, Lot 1, D.P. 43044, and Lot 7, D.P. 43042, and along a right line to and along the southern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 47102, to the eastern side of Omapiere Street; thence generally southerly along that eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 47633, the eastern end of Adventure Drive, the eastern boundaries of Lot 4, D.P. 47634, Lot 5, D.P. 47635, and Lot 1, D.P. 47872, the northern and eastern boundaries of Lot 3, D.P. 47872, the eastern end of Cleat Street, the eastern boundaries of Lot 4, D.P. 47872, Lot 6, D.P. 47873, and the land on S.O. Plan 25701 (Waterworks), the southern boundaries of Lot 1, D.P. 44668, and Lot 2, D.P. 52207, to the northernmost corner of Section 35, Horokiwai Road District; thence south-easterly along the northern boundary of the said Section 35, the north-western and northern boundaries of Section 348, Hutt District, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of a street; thence north-easterly along the southern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 51996, and its production to the middle of Belmont Road; thence southerly along the middle of that street to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Section 346, Hutt District;

Thence south-easterly to and along that north-eastern boundary, the north-eastern boundary of Section 433, Hutt District (including the crossing of a street), to and south-westerly along the north-western boundary of Section 437, Hutt District, and its production to the middle of a street intersecting the said Section 436; thence generally easterly along the middle of that street to and along the north-western boundary of Section 258, Hutt District, to the northernmost corner of that section; thence south-easterly and north-easterly along the south-western and south-eastern boundaries of Section 436, Hutt District (including 2 crossings of a street), to the easternmost corner of the said Section 436; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of a street; thence generally northerly and south-easterly along the middle of that street to and along the middle of No. 58 State Highway to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Section 432, Hutt District; thence south-easterly to and along that boundary and the north-eastern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 12488 to the easternmost corner of that lot; thence easterly along the southern boundaries of Section 270, and 269, Hutt District, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of the Hutt River;

Thence generally north-easterly up the middle of that river to and along the middle of Totara Park Bridge and Road to a point in line with the southern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 30150; thence westerly to and along that boundary and the southern boundaries of Lot 1 and 2, D.P. 50143 to and north-easterly along the north-western boundary of the said Lot 2, the south-eastern boundaries of Lot 1, D.P. 29190, part Lot 1, D.P. S. 9905 and 9906 (C.T. 17C/576), and part Section 421, Hutt District (C.T. 17C/576), and the last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of the Hutt River; thence northerly up the middle of that river to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Section 2, Block XIV, Akatarawa Survey District; thence generally north-easterly along a right line to and along that boundary, the south-eastern boundary of part Section 354, Hutt District (C.T. 226/68), the western side of Bridge Road, the south-western boundary of Lot 3, D.P. 8723, the south-eastern boundary of part Section 355, Hutt District (C.T. 19D/1184), to and along the northern end of a street, the western boundaries of Lots 1 and 2, D.P. 10774, the northern boundary of the said Lot 2, and its production to and up the middle of the Akatarawa River to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Section 361, Hutt District;

Thence south-easterly along a right line to and along that boundary (including the crossing of Akatarawa Road and a closed road), to and southerly along the eastern boundary of the said Section 361, to and south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 1820, the north-western boundaries of Lot 2, D.P. 28647, and Section 953, Hutt District, to the northernmost corner of that section; thence generally southerly along the eastern boundaries of the said Section 953, and Lot 1, D.P. 15682, the northern side, eastern end, and southern side of a street to and easterly along the northern side of No. 2 State Highway to a point in line with the western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 25159; thence southerly along a right line to and along that boundary, and the southern boundary of the said Lot 1, to and along the western boundary of Section 438, Hutt District, and the northern side of Plateau Road to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Lot 6, D.P. 21425;

Thence generally westerly along a right line to and along that boundary and the generally northern boundary of part Section 9, Block XV, Akatarawa Survey District, to and southerly along the eastern boundary of part Section 299, Hutt District (C.T. 9D/406), and the north-western boundary of Section 787, Hutt District, and its production to the middle of the Wairarapa Railway; thence westerly along the middle of that railway, to and easterly along the middle of Mangaroa Hill Road to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 40443; thence south-westerly to and along that boundary, to and southerly along the western boundaries of the said Lot 1, part Section 219, Section 959, and again part Section 219, Hutt District, and the last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of Gorrie Road; thence generally westerly along that middle line to and along the middle of Wallaceville Road and to generally south-easterly along that side of Ward Street, to and generally south-westerly along the south-eastern boundaries of Section 273, 276, and 936, Hutt District, to the southernmost corner of the said Section 936; thence due west along a right line to and generally north-westerly along the middle of Blue Mountains Road to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Lot 90, D.P. 8780;
