Shotover River Notice 1983

I, George Fredrick Gair, Minister of Transport, acting under the
authority contained in regulation 4a of the Otago Inland Harbour
Regulations 1969, hereby declare that part of the Shotover River
between Tucker Beach and Edith Cavell Bridge is reserved for
the use of jet boats plying for hire or reward or for the training
of operators of such jet boats and that the use of any other vessel or
class of vessel or bathing, fishing, waterskiing are prohibited within
the aforesaid area.

Validating Proceedings in Connection with the Bay of Islands
Electric Power Board’s Loan of $3,500,000

WHEREAS:
(1) The Bay of Islands Electric Power Board is proceeding by way
of special order to raise a loan of $3,500,000 to be known
as the “Development Loan No. 32 (1983)”;
(2) The special order to raise the said loan was made on the 14th
day of July 1983 and confirmed on the 11th day of August
1983, by the said Board;
(3) The making and confirmation of the said special order was
irregular or defective in that the sanction of the Local
Authorities Loans Board to the said loan was not given
until the 20th day of September 1983;
(4) It appears that the ratepayers of the Bay of Islands Electric
Power Board district have not been misled by such
irregularity or defect and it is expedient to validate the
same;

Now therefore, pursuant to section 130 of the Local Authorities
Loans Act 1956, as amended by section 15 of the Local Authorities
Loans Amendment Act 1971, the Minister of Finance, hereby orders
and declares that the proceedings in connection with the raising of
the said loan shall be valid to all intents and purposes as though
the making and confirmation of the special order to raise the said
loan had been preceded by the sanction of the Local Authorities
Loans Board to the said loan.

Exemption from Permit Requirement Under the Animals Act
1967 (Notice No. 3107; Ag. 6/2/1)

PURSUANT to section 13 (4B) Animals Act 1967 as inserted by section
3 (2) Animals Amendment Act 1982, I hereby give notice exempting
all persons from the necessity of obtaining a permit under section
13 (1) (a) in respect of the importation into New Zealand from any
country of the flesh or carcass of marine fish. This exemption does
not include any species of salmonid fish, nor any shellfish.

Minimum and Trigger Prices for Export Mutton (No. 3111;
Ag. 4/52/3/1)

PURSUANT to sections 13 and 14 (2) of the Meat Export Prices Act
1976, notice is hereby given that the Meat Export Prices Committee,
after having consulted the Minister of Agriculture, has determined
that the benchmark grade, and the minimum and trigger prices for
this grade, of mutton intended for export to apply during the
remainder of the 1983–84 season, shall be as follows:
