Notice of Approval of Alternative Types of Seat Belts for Certain Motor Vehicles
NOTICE
PURSUANT to regulation 78 (1A) of the Traffic Regulations 1976*, and pursuant to the powers delegated to me by the Secretary for Transport, I, Glen Liversage, Assistant Chief Automotive Engineer, hereby approve the fitting in the seating positions specified in the Schedule hereto of the alternative types of seat belts specified in the said Schedule to the vehicle specified in the said Schedule.
SCHEDULE
In respect of any Nissan Kingcab Utility model KP720: Two-point lap seat belts of an approved type for the use of the rear compartment side-facing seated passenger nearest the left side of the vehicle and the rear compartment side-facing seated passenger nearest the right side of the vehicle.

Approved Woolmarking Preparations (Notice No. 3082, Ag. 6/8/2/3)
PURSUANT to sections 69 and 94 of the Animals Act 1967 and to a delegation from the Director-General of Agriculture and Fisheries, under section 10 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries Act 1953, for the said sections 69 and 94, the Director, Animal Health Division of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, hereby gives notice that the wool marking preparations set out in the Schedule hereto (a product of McGregor Greer Industries Ltd., Auckland) are approved for sale and use in marking wool on sheep.

Price Order No. 266 (Ecuadorian Bananas)
PURSUANT to the Commerce Act 1975, and in accordance with the provisions of the Price Freeze Regulations 1982, I, Desmond James Gasson, pursuant to a delegation from the Secretary of Trade and Industry hereby make the following price order:

This price order may be cited as Price Order No. 266 and shall come into force on the 26th day of August 1983.

(1) Price Order No. 259* is hereby revoked.
(2) The revocation of the said order shall not affect the liability of any person for any offence in relation thereto committed before the coming into force of this order. -
References in this order to metropolitan areas are references to the metropolitan areas described in the Schedule hereto.
APPLICATION OF THIS ORDER
- This order applies with respect to all Ecuadorian bananas sold by way of retail in New Zealand.
MAXIMUM RETAIL PRICES OF ECUADORIAN BANANAS
- (1) The maximum price that may be charged or received by any retailer for any Ecuadorian bananas to which this order applies shall be:
(a) When sold by a retailer carrying on business in any of the metropolitan areas of Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, or Dunedin, or in any of the Cities or Boroughs of Whangarei, Hamilton, Tauranga, Rotorua, Gisborne, New Plymouth, Stratford, Hawera, Wanganui, Palmerston North, Napier, Hastings, Masterton, Blenheim, Nelson, Greymouth, Timaru, Wesport, Oamaru, Balclutha, Gore, Alexandra, or Invercargill—
$1.51 a kilogram.
(b) When sold by a retailer carrying on business elsewhere—
$1.53 a kilogram.
(2) If in respect of any lot of bananas the price calculated in accordance with the foregoing provisions of this clause is not an exact number of cents, the maximum price of the lot shall be computed to the nearest whole cent.
PROVISIONS FOR SPECIAL PRICES
- Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in the foregoing provisions of this order, and subject to such conditions, if any, as he thinks fit, the Secretary, on application by any retailer, may authorise special maximum prices in respect of any Ecuadorian bananas to which this order applies where special circumstances exist, or for any reason extraordinary charges (freight or otherwise) are incurred by the retailer. Any authority given by the Secretary under this clause may apply with respect to a specified lot or consignment of bananas, or may relate generally to all Ecuadorian bananas to which this order applies sold by the retailer while approval remains in force.
DUTY IMPOSED ON RETAILERS
- Every retailer who offers or exposes for sale in any shop any Ecuadorian bananas, to which this order applies shall keep in a prominent position, in such proximity to the bananas to which it relates as to be obviously in relation thereto, a ticket, placard, or label on which shall be stated in legible and prominent characters the following particulars:
(a) The retail price a kilogram of the bananas.
(b) The word “Ecuadorian”.
