Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart as a Maori reservation for the purpose of an Anglican Church site and burial ground for the common use and benefit of the people of Awanui District.

Maori Land Development Notice

PURSUANT to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Maori Land Board hereby gives notice as follows:

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as Maori Land Development Notice Whangarei 1983, No. 3.

  2. The notice referred to in the First Schedule hereto is hereby revoked.

  3. The land described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby released from Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953.

Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975

PURSUANT to section 10 of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, notice is given that 2 integration agreements have been signed between the Minister of Education and the Proprietor of the following primary schools.

St Dominic’s School, Blockhouse Bay.

St Michael’s School, Remuera.

The said schools will enter into the State education system in accordance with the provisions of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, with effect from 1 February 1983. Copies of the integration agreements are available for inspection without charge by any member of the public at the Department of Education, Head Office, Government Buildings, Lambton Quay, Wellington and at regional offices.

The Standards Act 1965—Overseas Specification Available for Comment

PURSUANT to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the under-mentioned overseas specification is being considered for endorsement as suitable for use in New Zealand.

Number and Title of Specification

AS 1874:1977 Aluminium ingots and aluminium alloy ingots and castings (with Amendment No. 1). $21.

Endorsement of AS 1874 was considered at the Non-ferrous Metals Sectional Committee (35/-) at its 8 November meeting last year.

All persons who may be affected by this specification and who desire to comment thereon, may obtain copies from the Standards Association of New Zealand, Wellington Trade Centre, 15-23 Sturdee Street (or Private Bag), Wellington, at the price shown.

The closing date for the receipt of comment is 26 February 1983.

Confiscation of Motor Vehicle

PURSUANT to the Criminal Justice Act 1954, section 44B Motor Vehicle Registration No. FB 7606, Ford Zephyr motor car, chassis No. CL54FY11492, owned by David Tairakena, 88 Pine Avenue, Hamilton, was confiscated by Judge A. D. Richardson in the District Court, Hamilton, on 24 December 1982, in accordance with the above Act.
