Leasehold Estate Acquired for the Functioning Indirectly of a Road in Amuri County

PURSUANT to section 20 of the Public Works Act 1981, the Minister of Works and Development declares that an agreement to that effect having been entered into, the leasehold estate in the land described in the Schedule hereto held from Her Majesty the Queen by Jack Barrett and Travis Alfred Barrett, both of Lewis Pass, farmers, as tenants in common in equal shares, under and by virtue of pastoral lease No. P. 15, recorded in Volume 529, folio 100, Canterbury Land Registry, is hereby acquired for the functioning indirectly of a road on the 3rd day of February 1983.

(a) Pursuant to section 20 declares that, an agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby acquired for soil conservation and river control purposes and shall vest in the Crown on the 3rd day of February 1983.

(b) Pursuant to section 52 declares the land described in the said Schedule hereto to be Crown land, subject to the Land Act 1948, on the 3rd day of February 1983.
