PURSUANT to sections 24 and 30 of the New Zealand Railways Corporation Act 1981 and section 52 of the Public Works Act 1981, the General Manager of the New Zealand Railways Corporation with the prior written consent of the Minister of Railways hereby declares that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart, subject to the Housing Act 1955, for State housing purposes from and after the 20th day of January 1983.

Declaring Railway Land at Runanga Now Set Apart for State Housing Purposes

PURSUANT to sections 24 and 30 of the New Zealand Railways Corporation Act 1981 and section 52 of the Public Works Act 1981, the General Manager of the New Zealand Railways Corporation with the prior written consent of the Minister of Railways hereby declares that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart, subject to the Housing Act 1955, for State housing purposes from and after the 1st day of January 1983.

Amending the Consent to the Generation of Electricity by the Tauranga Joint Generation Committee by the Use of Water

PURSUANT to the Electricity Act 1968, the Minister of Energy hereby amends the consent to the generation of electricity by the Tauranga Joint Generation Committee by the use of water* by:

(a) deleting paragraph 3 (c) from that part of the Schedule headed “General Description of Work” and substituting the following paragraph:

“(c) A powerhouse with turbines and all necessary equipment for generating electricity having a maximum capacity of 20 000 kW and discharging into the Wairoa River.”

(b) adding the following paragraph thereunder:

“The Ruahihi Scheme as shown on plan marked 1045 deposited in the office of the Electricity Division of the Ministry of Energy at Wellington.”

The Traffic (Cromwell Borough) Notice No. 1, 1982

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Cromwell Borough) Notice No. 1, 1982.

The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

The road specified in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a 70 kilometres an hour speed limit area pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976*.

The Traffic (Cromwell Borough) Notice No. 1, 1981 dated the 3rd day of August, 1981† issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976 is hereby revoked.

FIRST SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Cromwell Borough:

No. 8 State Highway (Timaru-Milton via Alexandra): from a point 20 metres measured westerly generally along the said State Highway from Antrim Street to Gair Avenue.

Gair Avenue: from the No. 8 State Highway (Timaru-Milton via Alexandra) to McNulty Road.

McNulty Road: from a point 215 metres measured westerly generally along the said road from Barry Street to the No. 6 State Highway (Blenheim-Invercargill via Nelson and Greymouth).

SECOND SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Cromwell Borough:

No. 8 State Highway (Timaru-Milton via Alexandra): from a point 20 metres measured westerly generally along the said State Highway from Antrim Street to Gair Avenue.
