District, Taumarunui County
PURSUANT to section 52 of the Public Works Act 1981, the
Minister of Works and Development hereby declares the
land described in the Schedule hereto to be set apart for
prison purposes.

Consent to the Generation of Electricity by Ivor Hawker of
Reefton by the Use of Water
PURSUANT to the Electricity Act 1968, the Minister of Energy
hereby consents to the generation of electricity by Ivor
Hawker of Reefton by the use of water, subject to the
following conditions.
CONDITIONS
-
The conditions directed by the Water Power Regulations
1934 to be implied in every licence to use water for the
purpose of generating or storing electricity shall be deemed
to be conditions of this consent as if it were such a licence. -
This consent is subject to compliance with the Water
Power Regulations 1934, the Electrical Supply Regulations
1976, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1976, the Radio
Interference Regulations 1958, and all regulations hereafter
made in amendment of or in substitution for any of those
regulations, as if in the case of the Water Power Regulations
1934 it were a licence under the Public Works Act 1928 to use water for the purpose of generating electricity
as well as a consent under the Electricity Act 1968 to generate
electricity by the use of water. -
The generation of electricity by the use of water pursuant
to this consent shall be carried out by means of the works
described in the Schedule hereto. -
This consent shall, unless it is sooner lawfully deter-
mined, continue in force until the 31st day of March 2003. -
This consent confers no rights to water under the Water
and Soil Conservation Act 1967 or otherwise. -
For the purpose of assessing the rental or annual sum
payable in respect of this consent, the maximum generating
capacity of the plant at the date of this consent is 10 kw.
SCHEDULE
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORKS
(a) Headworks consisting of a dam and intake on an
unnamed stream leading into the Upper Grey River with a
pipeline leading to the powerhouse giving a static head of
approximately 100 metres.
(b) Pelton wheel and powerhouse with all necessary
equipment for generating electricity.
(c) Tailrace leading from the powerhouse back to the
stream.
All being in Pohaturoa Survey District, Block XII.
As shown on the plan marked NZE 1023, deposited in the
office of the Electricity Division, Ministry of Energy, at
Wellington.

Electric Lines Licence Authorising the Department of Lands
and Survey to Erect and Use Electric Lines
PURSUANT to the Electricity Act 1968, the Minister of Energy
hereby licences the Department of Lands and Survey at
Mount Aspiring National Park, subject to the following
conditions, to lay, construct, put up, place and use the electric
lines described in the Schedule hereto.
CONDITIONS
-
This licence is subject to compliance with the Electrical
Supply Regulations 1976, the Electrical Wiring Regulations
1976, the Radio Interference Regulations 1958, and all regula-
tions made in amendment of or in substitution for any of
those regulations. -
The systems of supply shall be as described in para-
graph (a) of regulation 15 of the Electrical Supply Regula-
tions 1976, and shall be an alternating current system. -
This licence shall, unless it is sooner lawfully determined,
continue in force until the 31st day of March 2003.
SCHEDULE
ELECTRIC lines leading from the powerhouse in a south-
westerly direction generally across the Haast-Wanaka State
highway to a house.
All being situated in Section 1, Block XII, Haast Survey
District, in the County of Vincent, as shown on the plan
marked NZE 1026 deposited in the office of the Electricity
Division of the Ministry of Energy at Wellington.

ment of Lands and Survey at Mount Aspiring National Park
by the use of water, subject to the following conditions.
