Inclusion of Areas of Lake, Harbour, and Territorial Sea in the Region of the Marlborough United Council

PURSUANT to section 19 (2) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1977, the Minister of Works and Development hereby declares that for the purpose of regional planning, the lakes, harbours, and territorial seas within the area described in the Schedule hereto are hereby included in the region of the Marlborough United Council, a body constituted pursuant to the Local Government Act 1974, by Order in Council, dated 18 December 1978, and published in New Zealand Gazette, 11 January 1979, No. 1, page 1.

The notice including areas of lake, harbour, and territorial sea in the region of the Marlborough United Council dated 17 December 1979, and published in New Zealand Gazette, 17 January 1980, No. 3, page 90, is hereby repealed.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area of lake, harbour, and territorial sea within a line commencing on the mean high water mark on the sea coast at Pukerau Point in Block IV, Whangamoa Survey District, and then proceeding due north along a right line to its intersection with the outer limits of the territorial sea (as shown on sea chart NZ 25); thence, generally, north-easterly and south-easterly along the outer limit of the territorial sea to a point on the line midway between the mean high water mark on the North Island sea coast and the mean high water mark on the South Island sea coast; thence generally south along this line to the outer limit of the territorial sea (as shown on sea chart NZ 25) at the southern entrance to Cook Strait; and thence generally south-westerly along the outer limit of the territorial sea to a point on a true bearing of 110° east of the mid point of the mouth of the Conway River; thence by right line to that point and then proceeding generally north-westerly and north-easterly following the boundary of the Marlborough Region as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1979, page 1, to the point of commencement.

PURSUANT to section 19 (2) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1977, the Minister of Works and Development hereby declares that for the purpose of regional planning, the lakes, harbours, and territorial seas within the area described in the Schedule hereto are hereby included in the region of the Southland United Council, a body constituted pursuant to the Local Government Act 1974, by Order in Council, dated 14 May 1979, and published in New Zealand Gazette, 17 May 1979, No. 42, page 1530.

The notice including areas of lake, harbour, and territorial sea in the region of the Southland United Council, dated 7 October 1980, and published in New Zealand Gazette, 16 October 1980, No. 122, page 3069, is hereby repealed.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area of lake, harbour, and territorial sea within a line commencing on the mean high water mark at Tommy Point on the Fiordland sea coast at the northern entrance to Bligh Sound and then proceeding on a true bearing of 310° north-west along a right line to its intersection with the outer limit of the territorial sea (as shown on sea chart NZ 25); thence generally south-westerly along the outer limits of the territorial sea around the south-western corner of the South Island and encompassing Stewart Island to a point at the intersection of a right line on a true bearing of 140° from the mid point of the mouth of Longbeach Creek in Block 13, Tautuku Survey District; thence north-westerly along that line to the mouth of Longbeach; thence generally northerly and north-westerly following the boundary of the Southland Region as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1979, page 1530, to the mean high water mark on the north-east shore of Bligh Sound; thence generally north-westerly along the mean high water mark to the point of commencement.
