5.4 Family tickets
5.4.1 Concession: Family tickets for return travel at five times the ordinary adult single fare may be issued to parents and their children travelling together for journeys of more than 50 kilometres on long distance rail passenger services.

5.4.2 Conditions: The children travelling on a family ticket must be under 16 years of age at the time of travel, and be accompanied by at least one of their parents. The number of children in any family who may travel on one ticket is unlimited. The names of the parents or parent and children must be declared at the time of booking, and only the persons whose names are so declared may travel using the ticket.

  1. LONG DISTANCE RAIL PASSENGER SERVICES : MULTIPLE JOURNEY CONCESSIONS
    6.1 Ten trip concession tickets
    6.1.1 Conditions and fares: Ten trip concession tickets will be issued for long distance rail services for travel over distances not exceeding 43 kilometres for any journey which is not wholly within the boundaries of the suburban services specified in clause 8.1.

6.1.2 Restrictions: Such ten trip tickets may not be used on the following services:

6.2 “Super Six” travel vouchers
6.2.1 Concession: Five long distance passenger receipt ticket copies may be exchanged for a “Super Six” travel voucher to the value of 20 percent of the total fares paid.

6.2.2 Conditions: The five journeys must have been made within a three month qualifying period by the same person and each must have a minimum fare value of $7. The tickets must have been purchased from a Corporation booking office or an authorised booking agency at ordinary fares. The travel voucher must be used in one transaction: there shall be no cash refunds.

6.2.3 Applications: Applications for “Super Six” travel vouchers should be made to the Corporation’s Passenger Manager.

  1. RAIL SEASON TICKETS
    7.1 Conditions for use
    7.1.1 Breach of conditions: A season ticket is liable to forfeiture if there is a breach of any condition governing its use or subject to which it is issued.

7.1.2 Discontinuance of service: The Corporation is not under any circumstances whatsoever to be held liable for the discontinuance, whether permanent or otherwise, of the running of any service, or for any consequences arising from such discontinuance.

7.1.3 Surrender on demand: A season ticket is issued on the condition that it is not available for any journey unless it is delivered on demand to any employee of the Corporation. If a season ticket is not so delivered the holder shall pay the ordinary fare for the journey involved.
