NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Road Classification (Matamata County) Notice No. 1, 1982.

  2. The Matamata County Council’s proposed classification of the roads as set out in the Schedule hereto is approved.

  3. The notice dated the 26th day of April 1974†, which relates to the classification of the roads described in the Schedule hereto, is hereby revoked.

SCHEDULE

MATAMATA COUNTY

Roads Classified in Class One

Domain Road: from No. 1 State Highway (Awanui - Bluff) to the southern boundary of Frankton, Rotorua Railway Reserve.

Kinleith Road: from No. 1 State Highway (Awanui - Bluff) to Old Taupo Road.

Pine Road.

Whakamaru Road: Access Road to No. 30 State Highway (Te Kuiti - Whakatane via Atiamuri).

Roads Classified in Class Two

ALL roads under the control of the Matamata County Council not otherwise named in this Schedule.

The Road Classification (Waipukurau District) Notice No. 1, 1982

PURSUANT to regulation 3 of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1974*, the Secretary for Transport hereby gives the following notice:

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Road Classification (Waipukurau District) Notice No. 1, 1982.

  2. The Waipukurau District Council’s proposed classification of the roads as set out in the Schedule hereto is hereby approved.

  3. The notices dated the 20th day of February 1957† and the 30th day of January 1964‡ which relate to the classification of the roads described in the Schedule hereto are hereby revoked.

SCHEDULE

WAIPUKURAU DISTRICT

Roads Classified in Class One

ALL roads under the control of the Waipukurau District Council within the Waipukurau Riding.

Maharakeke Road: from the centre of the overhead bridge over the Palmerston North Gisborne Railway to Woburn and Oruawhara Roads.

Roads Classified in Class Two

ALL roads under the control of the Waipukurau District Council not otherwise named in this Schedule.

The Road Classification (National Roads Board) Notice No. 4, 1982

PURSUANT to regulation 3 of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulation 1974*, the Secretary for Transport hereby gives the following notice:

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Road Classification (National Roads Board) Notice No. 4, 1982.

  2. It is hereby declared, as requested by the National Roads Board, that the State Highways as set out in the Schedule hereto shall belong to the class set out in the said Schedule.

  3. So much of the notice dated the 13th day of June 1980† which relates to the classification of the highways described in the Schedule hereto is hereby revoked.

SCHEDULE

CLASSIFIED IN CLASS ONE

No. 2 State Highway (Pokono - Wellington via Gisborne): from the Paeroa Borough boundary (RP 73/1.15) to Otamara-kau Valley Road (RP 189/19.27).

No. 5 State Highway (Tirau - Napier via Rotorua and Taupo): from the beginning of the said State highway at Tirau (RP 0/0.00) to Western Road, Ngongotaha (RP 30/11.8).

No. 23 State Highway (Hamilton - Raglan): from the Hamilton City boundary (RP 0/4.73) to the Waipa River Bridge (RP 0/12.27).

No. 25 State Highway (Waitakaruru - Waihi via Coromandel): from No. 26 State Highway (Hamilton - Kopu) (RP 24/0.00) to the Thames Urban boundary (RP 24/1.39).

No. 26 State Highway (Hamilton - Kopu): from the northern boundary of Paeroa Borough (RP 70/1.86) to the end of the said State highway at Kopu (RP 96/0.00).

No. 27 State Highway (Mangatarata - Timaru): from Hawes Road, Waharoa (RP 66/1.73), to the end of the said State highway at Tirau.

Exemption from the Requirements of Regulation 82 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976

PURSUANT to regulation 90 of the Traffic Regulations 1976*, the Secretary for Transport hereby exempts the class of motor vehicles described below from the requirements of regulation 82 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976 (which relates to passenger entry and exit doors on motor vehicles) subject to the conditions stated:

All those vehicles operated by companies registered under the Private Investigators and Security Guards Act 1974, when engaged in the conveyance of cash or other valuable loads conditional upon such vehicles being manned by not less than two people, including the driver, while the doors used for entrance and exit by the crew are locked from the inside.

CNG Fuel System Approvals

PURSUANT to regulation 90b of the Traffic Regulations 1976* (as inserted by the Traffic Regulations 1976, Amendment No. 7) and pursuant to the powers delegated to me by the Secretary for Transport, I, Trevor Alan Lister, Senior Automotive Engineer, hereby approve the components listed in the Schedule hereto for inclusion in any CNG fuel system installed and operated in accordance with the requirements of New Zealand Standard NZS 5422 Part 2, 1980 (and any standard made in amendment thereto or in substitution therefor), subject to the conditions (if any) set out in respect of any component in the said Schedule.
