Fruit Fly Notice—(Notice No. 2803, Ag. 12/2/4)

PURSUANT to section 6 of the Plants Act 1970, the Director-General hereby restricts the introduction into New Zealand of all fruit, except unripe pineapples, from any State in the United States of America where the Director-General is satisfied that Mediterranean fruit fly (Ceratitis capitata) occurs to those fruit which have a prior approval by permit issued by the Officer-in-Charge of the Plant Health Diagnostic Station at Levin.

Import Restrictions on genus Allium—(Notice No. 2802, Ag. 12/2/4)

PURSUANT to section 6 of the Plants Act 1970, the Director-General hereby restricts as follows the introduction into New Zealand of all fresh garlic, leeks, onions, shallots and other vegetables of the genus Allium from all countries unless the Director-General is satisfied the importation will not introduce virus or virus-like diseases not known to be present in New Zealand into the country. All imports of the above vegetables shall be subject to prior approval by permit issued by the Officer-in-Charge of the Plant Health Diagnostic Station at Levin.

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation
