hereto has been acquired under the Forests Act 1949 as State
forest land.

4.4100 hectares, more or less, being Lot 1, D.P. S. 27452,
Block XVI, Paeroa Survey District. Balance certificate of title,

the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at
Wellington.

Post Office Savings Bank Investment Account Interest Notice
1982
THE rate of interest applicable to money held in Post Office
Savings Bank Investment Accounts shall be as set out below.
This notice shall come into force on the 13th day of April
1982.
- Interest Rates—(1) The maximum rate of interest to be
payable for any period of deposit commencing on or after
the date of this notice shall be:
(a) For a period of 6 months and each subsequent period
of 6 months: 12 percent per annum;
(b) For a period of 12 months and each subsequent period
of 12 months: 13 percent per annum;
(c) For a period of 24 months and each subsequent period
of 24 months: 13.25 percent per annum;
(d) For a period of 36 months and each subsequent period
of 36 months: 13.25 percent per annum.
(2) Rates of interest payable on and conditions applying
to money withdrawn where the deposit was made or reinvested
after the commencement of this notice shall be:
(a) In respect of money withdrawn at maturity the rate of
interest payable shall be that provided in clause 1
(1) (a), (b), (c) or (d) as appropriate to the term
of investment.
(b) In respect of money withdrawn before the expiration
of the first or any subsequent period of deposit the
interest rate shall be:
(i) For any period of less than 30 days: In the first
period of deposit: nil; in the second or any
subsequent period of deposit: 6 percent per annum;
(ii) For any period of not less than 30 days but
less than 6 months: 6 percent per annum;
(iii) On deposits for any period of not less than
6 months but less than 3 years, that specified in
clause 1 (1) (a), (b) or (c) as appropriate to the
actual term the deposit has been held.
Provided that, where money is withdrawn because of
the death of the investor the rate of interest payable may be the
rate applicable to the full term.

Reinvested Deposits—Any deposit not withdrawn after
the completion of the specified term shall be treated as
reinvested for a further similar term at the current rate appro-
priate to the particular term as specified in clause 1 of this
notice. -
Revocation—The Post Office Savings Bank Investment
Account Interest Notice 1981*, is hereby revoked. -
Transitional Provisions—Notwithstanding the revocation
of the Post Office Savings Bank Investment Account Interest
Notice 1981, the rates of interest payable, and the conditions
applying in respect of money which was deposited in invest-
ment accounts before the commencement of this notice shall
be the same as those applicable to that money before the
commencement of this notice until the expiry of the term of
deposit.
- Explanatory Note—Clause 1 (1) raises the rates of
interest payable on 6-month, 1-year, 2-year and 3-year invest-
ment accounts from 11.50, 12.00, 12.00 and 12.25 percent per
annum respectively. Clause 1 (2) fixes the rate of interest
payable on money withdrawn at maturity and before the
expiration of the specified periods of deposit.
Clause 2 provides for deposits not withdrawn at maturity
to be reinvested.
Clause 4 limits application of the increased rates to periods
of deposit which commence on or after 13 April 1982.

Exemption of Certain Motor Vehicles from the Height Restrictions for Front Direction Indicators and Forward-Facing Side Lamps
PURSUANT to subclause (1) of regulation 90 of the Traffic
Regulations 1976*, the Secretary for Transport hereby exempts
motor vehicles of the type specified in the Schedule hereto
from the requirements of subclause 3 (a) of regulation 59
and subclause 2 (a) of regulation 63 of the said regulations,
in respect of the maximum height of 1.5 metres that the
forward-facing side lamp and front direction-indicator may
be mounted above the ground.
SCHEDULE
ANY Nissan model CW51, CK40, CK20, CW20 or CK11 series
commercial vehicle, whenever first registered.

Declaration of Vehicle with Motorcycle Controls to be a Motorcycle
PURSUANT to section 2 of the Transport Act 1962, the
Secretary for Transport hereby declares that the vehicle
described in the Schedule hereto is a motorcycle for the
purposes of the said Act.
SCHEDULE
THE 3-wheeled vehicle with motorcycle controls, and a
1600cc Volkswagen engine bearing the engine/chassis number
126/122044, manufactured by Hog Farm Ltd., of Onehunga.

Approval of Safety Glass and Conditions Relating Thereto
PURSUANT to regulation 88 of the Traffic Regulations 1976*,
the Secretary for Transport hereby approves, for the purpose
of regulation 73 of the said regulations, safety glass of the
make and type described in the Schedule hereto.
Provided that no overlay or treatment which reflects light
from an outside source shall be applied to the safety glass
specified in the Schedule hereto other than along the top
edge of the windscreen for the purpose of reducing sun
glare.
This proviso does not apply to the fitting of rear window
electrically heated demister units.
SCHEDULE
KOREAN safety glass manufactured by Hankuk Glass Industry
and bearing the following markings:
(i) HMC Glass Safety Hankuk TF5;
(ii) HMC Glass Safety Hankuk TV5; and
(iii) Hankuk Glass Safety Heat Line.
