THE RIGHT HON. R. D. MULDOON PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 23 (1) of the Agricultural Pests Destruction Act 1967, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. (i) This order may be cited as the Redefinition of the Kurow Pest Destruction District.
    (ii) The boundaries of the Kurow Pest Destruction District which was constituted by Order in Council on the 16th day of July 1979, are hereby redefined and, as from the commencement of the order, the boundaries of the said district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

BOUNDARIES of the Kurow Pest Destruction District.

ALL that area in the Otago and Canterbury Land Districts, Waitaki and Waimate Counties, containing 203 300 hectares, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at Mount Domat, being the southernmost corner of Section 30, Block VIII, Kurow Survey District, and proceeding north-westerly along the north-western boundary of part Run 574 (10279.0153 hectares), Mount Buster Survey District, to the easternmost corner of part Run 362B, Mount Buster Survey District; thence generally south-westerly along the south-eastern boundary of part Run 362B, aforesaid, and its production to the middle of Hut Creek; thence generally westerly down the middle of Hut Creek to its confluence with Guffies Creek; thence westerly down the middle of Guffies Creek to its confluence with the Otematata River; thence generally down the middle of that river to a point in line with the southern boundary of part Run 243E, Mount Buster Survey District; thence generally westerly to and along the southern boundary of part Run 243E, aforesaid, and its production to the middle of Clear Stream; thence generally north-easterly down the middle of Clear Stream to its confluence with the Otematata River; thence generally north-easterly down the middle of the Otematata River to the confluence of the Waimate and Mackenzie County boundaries; thence generally south-easterly along a right line to the north-western corner of part Run 282; thence generally easterly along the northern boundary of the said Run to the north-western corner of part Run 282 to a fence on the generally northern, eastern and southern boundaries of part Run 282 to a fence on the western side of Trig AA on Block I, Hakataramea Survey District; thence generally south-easterly along that fence and the north-eastern boundary of part Lot 2, D.P. 2739; thence generally southerly along the eastern boundary of part Lot 1, D.P. 2739, the north-eastern boundaries of Lot 6, D.P. 2739, and Rural Section 35960, the eastern boundaries of Rural Section 25961 and Rural Section 29561, the northern and eastern boundaries of Rural Section 11442, the eastern and southern boundaries of Rural Section 12270 and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of the Waitaki River; thence generally north-easterly up the middle of the Hakataramea River to its confluence with Peter Stream in Block V, Nimrod Survey District; thence north-easterly up the middle of that stream to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Run 347 and continuing north-easterly to and along that boundary to the northernmost corner of the said Run; thence southerly along the summit of the Hunter Hills; thence northerly along the north-eastern boundaries of Runs 347 and 47A and the eastern and southern boundaries of Run 47B to the summit of the Hunter Hills; thence southerly along the summit of the Hunter Hills to the south-eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 4080; thence generally south-westerly to and along that boundary and the generally south-eastern boundary of part Lot 1, D.P. 4082, and its production to the middle of Pentland Hills Road; thence north-westerly along the middle of that road to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 4080; thence generally south-westerly to and along that boundary and the generally south-eastern boundary of part Lot 1, D.P. 4082, and its production to the middle of the Waitaki River; thence north-westerly up the middle of that river to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 4080; thence generally south-westerly to and along that boundary and the generally south-eastern boundary of part Lot 1, D.P. 4082, and its production to the middle of Pentland Hills Road; thence north-westerly along the middle of that road to a point in line with the south-eastern side of Meyers Pass Road; thence westerly to and along that roadside to the south-eastern boundary of Run 283; thence generally south-westerly along the south-eastern boundaries of Runs 283 and 321 to the north-eastern boundary of Lot 3, D.P. 3451; thence south-easterly along that boundary and its production to the south-western side of that lot; thence south-easterly along that roadside to the easternmost corner of the said Lot 3; thence generally south-westerly along the south-eastern boundaries of Lot 3, D.P. 3451, and part Lot 4, D.P. 3452, to the south-western boundary of Section 1, Block V, Elephant Hill Survey District; thence generally south-easterly along the south-western boundaries of the said Section 1 and Section 1, Block VI, Elephant Hill Survey District, to the north-western boundary of Rural Section
