47.2 Minimum charges
Except where otherwise specified, any less quantity than the minimum wagon load prescribed shall be charged at such minimum, or on the actual weight at the class E rate plus 50 percent, whichever is cheaper.

47.3 Handling
The Corporation may require all loading and unloading to be performed by the owners. Where any such services are performed by the Corporation, charges as prescribed in clause 60 shall apply.

  1. FERTILISER

48.1 Minimum wagon loads
Wagon loads of artificial fertiliser or manure, and raw materials for manufacture thereof (but excluding liquid fertilisers and manure) shall be conveyed subject to the following minimum wagon loads.

48.3 Owner's risk
The foregoing rates are at “limited carrier's risk” and will be reduced by two percent where consignors require that the consignment be carried at “owner's risk”.

48.4 Minimum charge

48.5 Handling etc
The Corporation may require all loading, unloading, covering or tallying to be performed by the owners. Where loading, unloading, covering or tallying is performed by the Corporation, charges as per clause 60 shall apply.

  1. HAY, STRAW, AND CHAFF

49.1 Wagon rates: Hay and straw (baled) and chaff shall be charged at the following wagon rates or on the actual weight at the class E rate plus 50 percent, whichever is cheaper:
