  1. CLASS N

45.1 Minimum wagon load

Minimum loads of goods chargeable at class N rate shall be as follows:

*A 6 tonne wagon minimum will apply to concrete pipes loaded on Nc or Nf wagons.
†Mc wagons are not to be loaded with bulk commodities.

45.2 Minimum charge

Except where otherwise provided, any less quantity than the minimum wagon load prescribed shall be charged at such minimum, or on actual weight at the following rates, whichever is cheaper.

Loose coke—the charge on any four-wheeled wagon will not be less than as for four tonnes at the class N rate.

45.3 Handling and tallying

The Corporation may require all loading, unloading, or tallying, to be performed by the owners; where any such service is performed by the Corporation charges as provided in clause 60 shall be made.

  1. CLASS G GOODS RAILED IN FULL WAGON LOADS

46.1 Charges

Goods classified as class G in clause 35.4 shall be charged at such rates except that ducting, insulating materials, and woodwool classified G and forwarded in full wagon loads shall be charged class G less 12½ percent at the cubic measurements listed:

46.1.1. Owner's risk: When subject to compliance with the Carriage of Goods Act 1979, the goods specified above are conveyed at "owner's risk".

46.1.2 Lesser quantities: Lesser quantities shall be charged in accordance with the foregoing or on actual measurement at Class G, whichever is the cheaper.

46.2 Owners to load and unload

The application of class G less 12½ percent rates as above is conditional on all loading and unloading being performed by owners.

  1. CLASS R

47.1 Minimum wagon loads

Minimum wagon loads of goods chargeable at class R shall be as follows:
