The Traffic (Tauranga County) Notice No. 2, 1982
PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE
This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Tauranga County) Notice No. 2, 1982.
The road specified in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a 70-kilometres-and-hour speed limit area pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976*.
SCHEDULE
Situated within Tauranga County at Tauriko:
No. 29 State Highway (Tauranga - Piarere): from the western side of Cambridge Road to a point 500 metres measured westerly, generally, along the said State highway from the western side of Cambridge Road.

Subdivision of Land by the Greymouth Harbour Board
I, George Frederick Gair, Minister of Transport, having obtained the concurrence of the Minister of Finance pursuant to section 143A (3) of the Harbours Act 1950, hereby approve pursuant to section 143A (1) (a) of the Harbours Act 1950, the subdivision of the land referred to in the Schedule hereto by the Greymouth Harbour Board pursuant to section 143B of the said Act; and I specify that my approval hereunder is effective from the date hereof.
SCHEDULE
Firstly, all that parcel of land in the Westland Land District, containing sections 150, 151, 152, 153, 154, and part sections 155 and 156, Borough of Greymouth, totalling 1124 square metres, and being part of the land shown on certificate of title 2C/867.
Secondly, all that parcel of land in the Westland Land District, being part section 501, Town of Greymouth, containing 927 square metres, and being part of the land shown on certificate of title 1A/487.
Thirdly, all that parcel of land in the Westland Land District, being part Reserve 1425, Block XII, Greymouth Survey District, containing 486 square metres, and being part of the land shown on certificate of title 2B/1150.
Fourthly, all that parcel of land in the Westland Land District, being part Section 533, Town of Greymouth, containing 53 square metres, and being part of the land shown on certificate of title 3D/1139.

Notice Prohibiting the Taking of Mussels From Ohiwa Harbour (Notice No. 2763, Ag. 9/6/1/2)
Pursuant to regulation 101A of the Fisheries (General) Regulations 1950, notice is hereby given that the taking of mussels from Ohiwa Harbour is prohibited during the period of 7 months commencing with the 1st day of April 1982 and ending with the 31st day of October 1982.

Disposal of Kaiapoi Borough Council Land
I, George Frederick Gair, Minister of Transport, having obtained the concurrence of the Minister of Finance pursuant to section 143A (3) of the Harbours Act 1950, hereby approve pursuant to section 143A (1) (a) and section 143C (1) (b) of the said Act, the disposal by way of sale of land referred to in the Schedule hereto by the Kaiapoi Borough Council, pursuant to section 143C of the said Act; and I specify that my approval hereunder is effective from the date hereof and is subject to the condition that the proceeds of the sale are to be used for harbour purposes.
SCHEDULE
All that parcel of land containing 3.3627 hectares, or thereabouts, situated in Block XV, Rangiora Survey District, being Lot 1, Deposited Plan 44410, as described on the certificate of title 23A/963.

State Forest Land Set Apart as a Dedicated Area—Mount Bruce Native Bird Management Area—Wellington Conservancy
Pursuant to section 15 of the Forests Act 1949 (as inserted by section 2 of the Forests Amendment Act 1973, and amended by section 5 of the Forests Amendment Act 1976), the Minister of Forests hereby gives notice that the area of land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart and dedicated for the purposes of the protection and management of native birds and their habitats in the Mount Bruce Native Bird Reserve, by the Wildlife Service of the Department of Internal Affairs.
The area of State forest land so dedicated shall be known as the Mount Bruce Native Bird Management Area.
SCHEDULE
Wellington Land District—Masterton County
54.9600 hectares, more or less, being part Section 7, Block XIV, Tararua Survey District (S.O. 32447, State Forest by New Zealand Gazette, 1899, page 623), as shown on plan T23/1, deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington.

Explanatory Note
The dedicated area will be dedicated and used for:
-
The rearing of rare native birds.
-
(a) Experiments in establishing birds in semi-wild or wild conditions by the gradual release of birds reared in captivity.
(b) Experiments in increasing existing populations of endangered native birds in the vicinity of the establishment through the provision of permanent feeding stations and attention to nesting requirements or other aspects of habit improvement.
(c) Provision of exhibits of native birds, not necessarily rare, also in spacious enclosures to display New Zealand's native birds both to New Zealand and overseas visitors. This would also serve as an educational measure.
(d) Through the foregoing work the institution has become a centre for research and preservation of many native birds.
