Insurance Companies Deposits Act 1953—Proposed Release of Deposit

THE Union Assurance Society Limited” has given notice to the Public Trustee that it has ceased to carry on any class in insurance business in New Zealand and pursuant to section 19 of the above-mentioned Act proposes to withdraw the deposit which has been made by it with the Public Trustee.

The Public Trustee therefore gives notice, pursuant to section 19 (3) of the above-mentioned Act, that being satisfied that the liabilities of the above-mentioned company in respect of the classes of insurance designated in the First Schedule of the above-mentioned Act have been provided for, he proposes to release to the above-mentioned company on or after 9 April 1982 the deposit made by it in respect of all classes of insurance business.

Any objections to the release of the deposit should be lodged with the Public Trustee, Lambton Quay, Wellington, on or before 1 April 1982.

Average Price for Apples and Pears for the 1981/82 Season Declared

NOTICE is hereby given that the Apple and Pear Prices Authority has determined, pursuant to section 27 (1) of the Apple and Pear Marketing Act 1971, that:

  1. The average price for all apples purchased by the N.Z. Apple and Pear Marketing Board from growers during the 1981/82 season be 15.7988 cents per kilogram; and

  2. The average price for all pears purchased by the N.Z. Apple and Pear Marketing Board from growers during the 1981/81 season be 21.2560 cents per kilogram.

These are the same prices as determined for the 1980/81 season.

The Misuse of Drugs Act 1975; Notice of Authorisation

NOTICE is hereby given that the Minister of Health, acting under section 19 (1) of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1975, has authorised the Public Health Pharmacist named in the Schedule hereto to enter the premises of any person who carries on the business of a producer, manufacturer, seller or distributor of any controlled drug, or who otherwise undertakes the supply or administration of any controlled drug and to demand the production of, and to inspect any books or documents relating to dealings in any controlled drug and to inspect, weigh, measure and record the stocks of controlled drugs.

Misuse of Drugs Regulations 1977—Approval of Alternative Form of Record

NOTICE is hereby given that pursuant to regulation 39 of the Misuse of Drugs Regulations 1977*, the Director-General of Health hereby approves a record in the form of a typed carbon copy of the supply of controlled drugs on prescription, such record being made and maintained in accordance with the system, hereinafter described:

  1. The system shall be known as the “EAZY RECORD—N.C.R. DAILY SCRIPT RECORDING SYSTEM”, or equivalent.

  2. Using appropriate N.C.R. paper, self-adhesive labels, the typed prescription information shall be recorded permanently on a continuous backing strip, in numerical sequence.

  3. The information so recorded shall include details as to the nature, strength and quantity of the controlled drug supplied, the surname and initials of first names and address of the patient and of the prescriber, the date of supply, the unique reference number allocated to each prescription, directions for use, details as to the repeats which have been prescribed, and the initials of the dispenser.

  4. The backing strip shall be taken daily, folded and placed into a separate filing envelope, which is then date stamped, and stored in sequence in an appropriate fire resistant box or cabinet.

  5. A separate day book shall be maintained for the purposes of recording repeat disposals, such records indicating the date of disposal, prescription number and patient’s surname.

National Roads Board—Declaring State Highway to be a Limited Access Road

It is notified that the National Roads Board, by resolution dated 17 February 1982, and pursuant to section 153 of the Public Works Act 1981, hereby declares that part of State Highway No. 3, Hamilton to Ohaupo section, for 13 metres width on the south-western side across the frontages of Lot 1, D.P. S. 29779 (C.T. 27B/739), and Lot 1, D.P. 23507 (C.T. 27B/740), as more particularly shown on Sheet 1 Plan 22/43/1/1, and accompanying Schedule held in the office of the Resident Engineer, Ministry of Works and Development, Hamilton, and there available for public inspection, to be a limited access road.

It is notified that the National Roads Board, by resolution dated 17 February 1982, and pursuant to section 153 of the Public Works Act 1981, hereby declares that part of State Highway No. 1, Ashburton to Hinds section, for half its width on the south-eastern side across the frontages of Lot 3, D.A. 44495, and part frontage of Lot 1, D.P. 44495, as more particularly shown on Sheet 1, Plan 64/27/2, and accompanying Schedule held in the office of the Resident Engineer, Ministry of Works and Development, Timaru, and there available for public inspection, to be a limited access road.
